Flea treatment for cats
I purchase this every 2 months or so. Seems to work great. The cats do not have fleas or ticks. No scratching. They are not happy on the application because it smells like peppermint but no irritation to them. It does have a greasy looking spot on the back of the necks where it is applied but it wears off the hair by the next day. It is easy to apply I will continue to use this because it works and cheaper than the vet. Have to watch cost. Happy customer

It works well, and no kitty irritation. -- 1 Week update...
Day 3: If you are like most people, you have three main concerns over flea medication: 1. Is it safe? 2. Will it kill the fleas? 3. How much is it going to cost? We have a total of 9 cats, and we imported a bad flea problem when we brought in a feral mama kitty and her 4 kittens. Before we knew they had fleas, we had an infestation for all of our cats. We placed the kittens with a no kill adoption shelter after socializing them, and kept mama since she was amicable to being domesticated. But that still left us with fleas. One of our cats with long hair had the worst flea problem. I was using a flea comb on him twice a day, and getting roughly 20 fleas off of him per combing. All cats were fighting with itching and biting at their fleas. I tried using the Hartz topical drops, and I might as well have been using water. It brought no change at all for any of the cats. I then waited one month to use this product, and it went well. None of the cats seemed irritated by the drops. A few didnโt like the liquid on their neck, but they didnโt do mouthing motions like they had with the Hartz, which indicates they could taste the Hartz while it was entering their system. Within 12 hours of their individual applications (I staggered them so I could isolate each cat while the drops dried) the amount of biting and scratching at fleas dropped greatly. I did combing of a few of them at the 24 hour marks, and the one long-hair had 2 living fleas that could barely walk, and no other fleas at all. Within 48 hours, there were no fleas found on any of the cats except the long-hair, who had 2 small fleas that were still alive, but could not stand. These were small, and probably had just hopped onto him from the carpeting. I am very happy with the results, and will follow-up with a second treatment at the 30 days mark. One bit of adviceโif you have a beard or hair trimmer that is not too loud, and cannot cut skin, I would suggest trimming a quarter-sized spot on the back of your catโs neck before applying this. (If you can convince your cat to sit for it!) Doing this will allow you to apply the medication directly to the skin/undercoat, allowing it to sink in directly without wicking up too much into the fur. When I did this, the liquidโwhich has the consistency of a thin oilโsat in that spot and did not run all over. Petting the cat and keeping it in an upright position for a few minutes allowed the treatment to seep and spread at the skin level, which is most effective. A good product at a good price! I will amend this if there is anything negative to report, but I do not anticipate such. Day 7: The fleas are coming back. The frist 1-2 days the numbers combed out of the cats plummeted dramatically. Then the numbers started to rise. I can understand that the flea eggs and larvae that were on the floor and everywhere else might have been rotating in, but that would not explain the dramatic decline, and then rise, in fleas combed out. Figure--if fleas were rotating in, then they should have been rotating in the first 1-2 days as well. Not a problem. But the fact remains that the numbers are going up. The only thing I can think of is that the toxicity to fleas drops off after a couple of days, and thus the ones are simply not dying off as quickly. And after only 1 week, that tells me that by the end of the second week, the fleas will be back in full force, with 2 more weeks before I can treat again.

Good quality for price
TevraPet Actispot II is a monthly topical flea treatment that offers effective prevention and control of fleas on cats when used as directed. It contains imidacloprid and pyriproxyfen, the same active ingredients found in some well-known veterinarian brands, but typically at a lower cost, making it a budget-friendly alternative for ongoing flea control. The formula is designed to kill adult fleas, flea eggs, and larvae, helping to break the flea life cycle and reduce reinfestation. Many users report that it starts working quickly and keeps cats mostly flea-free when applied consistently once per month. The application is straightforward: part the fur at the base of your catโs neck and apply the liquid directly to the skin. The waterproof formula usually continues to work even if your cat gets a bit wet after treatment. A six-month supply typically covers one full flea season or an extended preventive schedule. Pros: โข Effectiveness: Many customers find it successfully eliminates fleas and prevents new infestations when used regularly. โข Good value: The product tends to be more affordable than some veterinary-only brands while using the same active ingredients. โข Ease of use: The spot-on application is simple and straightforward for most cat owners. โข Waterproof: Generally continues protecting after light wetting. โข Breaks flea life cycle: Targets both adult fleas and immature stages. Cons: โข Variable results: Some cats may not respond as strongly, especially in severe infestations or heavy flea pressure. โข Potential irritation: A small number of pets might show temporary redness or scratching after application; monitoring after first use is recommended and consult a vet if irritation persists. โข Weight/age restrictions: Must use the correct formula for your catโs weight and only on cats above the minimum age/weight listed on the label. โข Safety precautions: As with all topical flea products, keep it away from your catโs mouth and apply where they cannot easily lick it; accidental ingestion can cause drooling or mild reactions. Summary: Overall, TevraPet Actispot II is a solid monthly flea-treatment choice for many cat owners seeking effective protection at a lower price point. It works well when used consistently and paired with good environmental flea control, but itโs important to follow dosage instructions closely and be alert for any signs of sensitivity.

Must buy!
Worked so well! Hate to admit that the fleas were literally everywhere.. I had previously gotten a flea collar from Wondercide thinking it was gonna do the trick but it did nothing but waste money. I applied the liquid to my cats at night and by the next morning they were falling/dying off and by the afternoon 99% of them were dead. Will definitely keep this in case another emergency. Definitely worth the buy!

It's ok...
Nowhere near the potency or quality of revolution plus, but you get what you pay for. Cats were highly affected and went hide after application and it has a string chemical smell that's nearly impossible to get off. Easy yo use and somewhat effective for a temporary fix, but noticeable side effects of watery eyes, sneezing and lip kicking immediately after use. No longer term effects as of yet. On the fence of using again once I see long term results.

ACTISPOT 2 - Cat Flea medicine sure didn't work on my Cat
Disappointment in purchasing ActiSpt2 Cat Flea Medicine. This cat flea medicine does not work AT ALL. I realize the reviews show it does work. However, it sure didn't work on my cat. GREAT - if it works on yours. Very disappointed. However, I guess you get what you pay for. I thought this was too good to be true. Great price, but it's like dropping a drop of water on the back of my cat's neck. Did nothing whatsoever. Fleas were still present 2 days after applying and are still on my cat. Had to purchase Cheristin, which is 4 times the cost. Bought at Petco, and they WILL match Amazon's purchase price of $85.00 for a 6-month pack. Again - GREAT if it works on yours. That was a really good price. I only gave 1 star as I had to it something to post this. Not even worth 1 star. Just didn't work.

Works
Works great and easy to apply. One of my cats did have a mild irritation but the next time I applied the medicine I made sure to spread it out more and haven't had the problem since.
