Traveler Guitar Ultra-Light Classical 6 String Guitar, Right, Mahogany (ULN MHSBW)

I wanted this because it was THE smallest guitar that appeared from reviews to be able to stay in tune and let you know when you make a mistake AND that would allow me to carry ONE bag in addition to my laptop bag onto an airplane and NEVER check a bag. It fits snugly into an Osprey Trillium and despite what the Trillium reviews say it fits into every overhead I've been in and I fly out of a small airport with 3 seat row airplanes. As for the guitar, it does stay in tune, I changed the nylon strings to steel light guage, without a pick it is very quiet, with a pick you can definitely play with friends that have good volume control to keep it down. When you plug it in it is as loud as you want. Slightly tinny, but so worth the price and portability. If you travel a lot and don't like to check a bag, slip this puppy into your Trillium and keep going!!

Beautiful, simple, functional, plays great, electronics are better than expected. I have a nice amp for acoustic instruments and I can get a “near real” sound on this instrument thru that amp. When I use the chorus feature on my amp, it has a most beautiful sound. Feels solid like it is built to last. Comfy to play while sitting upright or sitting back in my recliner. Most comfortable standing with a strap. I ended up buying another brand though because of the fretboard width of this guitar is not the standard classical guitar width. So when I switched back and forth to my classical guitar, it felt like I had not practiced. Will keep this fine instrument because of the sound quality and because it fits INSIDE the cargo hatch of my 17’ kayak. Cant wait to camp on an island and watch the sun set while using this instrument and a small battery powered amp. If this company developed another model with a standard width fretboard, I would buy it without hesitation and sell this one. Also impressed with the case. You can tell some thought went i to the design of this guitar to make it what it is.

This Ultra-Light travels easily, packs into my checked baggage and is practically indestructible. I practice quietly with earbuds while traveling and can play over a speaker with a little headphone amp. The Traveler headphone amp is basic at best. I bought a better headphone amp and am happy I did. Sound is pretty decent with an amp. It’s practically silent, otherwise. Tuning is not too bad, and it seems to hold its tune pretty well. The balance is weird, but I use a strap, so it’s fine. I also have an older Ultra-Light electric, and this nylon stringed acoustic is far better for me with its wider nut (1.9 inches). Sounds better, too, with an amp. All in all, I’m very pleased with this extremely portable guitar.

I use it to practice while out on the bicycle, and while it really is pretty protected, I imagine I don't have it in teh best of atmospheres either. But for the most part it stays in tune, and it really help[s you with the fingering because you can hear if the string is dead, but no one around you really could unless they are right next to you. And you can put a little plug in head phone amp so you can make yourself sound concert hall, but as I said, I use it for fingering practice, not to actually play for anything else, although I am sure you could, it sounds pretty good through an amp, not Taylor quality, but it is what it is. And yes, it is sturdy enough that you could use it to defend yourself if you were out strumming while sitting on a park bench in the dark and some mugger came up to you, and it would still probably be playable, so overall, it is worth the price.

It came with a broken string. Overall the sound quality is very quiet. Will be returning.

Having lots of fun with this excellent instrument. I chose for frequent air travel, and on all flights it was no problem, fits overhead easily. In public it's almost silent, great for airport waiting, and practicing those classical guitar finger exercises. Note that a headphone amplication is a separate product, 20 to 30 dollars, a2" x 3" box which plugs into the right end and holds a long charge. What comes into your earphones (not included) is not exactly a classical guitar sound but is very pretty and responds to tonal changes from The right hand. I think there's an amp product as well. The detachable curve below the soundboard could be improved with a way to bend to adapt to smaller players. Soon I'm off to China with this, won't miss a day of practicing.

My only expectation was that with a small preamp and head phones I could practice. Unfortunately there is almost no sound for the LOW E string the rest works out OK. Also given that this is a nylon string I would have liked the nut width close to 52 mm instead of 49. It was not specified. Other than that it was made well and had a decent setup.

I almost feel I conjured this guitar dream travel into existence. It's quiet when you want to practice in your hotel room or tent. The 1/4 inch pick-up works well. I have 3 sizes of speaker I can bring with me while on the road. Of course, the body is quite different, so it'll take some getting used to. This guitar, like the Martin backpacker, has to be played with a strap. Once you get used to it, you'll love this guitar. I'm thinking of buying another just in case they stop making these. Thank you for this divine creation! Small suggestion for improvement: my attachment for the guitar strap isn't a standard size, so it took me a bit to find the right adapter in a great music store in Stockholm. If you create a new generation of these, please fix, because the guitar has to be played with a strap. However, no biggie ;)

Ich kaufe normal keine Gitarren online, weil ich eigentlich verschiede Instrumente anspielen möchte. So was geht am besten im Laden. Hier wurde ich jedoch nicht enttäuscht, sie lässt sich echt gut spielen, ist wirklich klein und leicht. Der schlanke Hals kommt mir auch sehr entgegen. Die Gitarre war gut eingestellt, Saitenlage gut! Ich spiele sie über einen kleinen Verstärker, für das Kopfhörerspiel werde ich noch den Traveler Gitarren-Kopfhörerverstärker – Akustik (TGA-1A) bestellen. Die Gitarre selber hat nämlich keine Tonregelung. Ich möchte die Gitarre bei meinen Motorradreisen mitnehmen.

今ギターが届きチェックを行ったところのレヴューです。ネックが弱くたわみチューニングや弦高調整ができないという事はありません。届いた時点では弦は緩めてあり、弦を巻き上げるとネックはやや逆ぞりの状態でフレットノイズが出ました。そこで付属品のレンチを使ってトラスロッドを緩めてが逆ぞり解消。今度はオクターヴ・チューニングするも3弦だけがシャープするようになったので弦長が短くなったための順ぞりと見て反対にトラスロッドを少しずつ締めてハイポジションの音程を落としていきました。完全にオクターヴは合いませんが、当座はこんなものです。ナイロン弦は巻いてもゆるみが出るので張り替え直後や長期に緩めておいた後はチューニングがフラットするものです。またマホガニーネックは柔らかいので新品の状態では動きやすくマメなロッド調整が必要です。きちんとメンテナンスすればやがて落ち着くはずです。品質不良のように思うのは誤解と知識不足です。なおロッドの先端ナットは一般のものより細いので付属しているレンチは失くさないようにしましょう。そしてこのギターの特徴はオールマホガニーである事です。このようボディレスのギターはエア的共鳴が無いので低域の倍音が極端に少なく固いトーンになりますが、低域がふくよかで柔らかいトーンを出すマホガニー材がこの点を大きく改善しています。私はウルトラライトのスチール弦用のメイプルのギターを持っていますが、トーンが固くライヴでの使用は控えておりましたが、本ギターならば是非使いたいものです。最近は良いプリアンプも開発されているのでそれを使えば行けると踏んでおります。ネックのサイズですがナット幅は49㎜。レギュラーのクラシック用ナイロン弦ギターは53㎜なので狭いですが、スチール弦仕様のナイロン弦ギターが43㎜位であるのとは違い、クラシックギターの範疇に入るサイズです。ヤマハのサイレント・ナイロンが50㎜なので若干狭い程度ですが、ネックの厚み・シェイプはより細身なので握りやすく感じます。スチール弦のギターから持ち替えの方は弾きやすいでしょう。 最後に本ギターはマットフィニッシュですが、指板もローズウッドでなくマホガニーのマットフィニッシュでざらつきがあります。ネック、指板の裏表両方がかなり摩擦があり指や手の滑りは良くありません。私はガス入りのレモンオイルスプレーをネック指板の両方にふりかけ後ふき取り対応しています。スプレー剤の使用がネックや指板の木材にどういう影響を与えるかはまだ分かりません。最後に蛇足ながら小さいので抱えにくく弾きづらいギターですが、滑りにくい生地のストラップをうんと短くしてギターを高いポジションにすると右手首を置いただけでふらつきが少なくなります。また弦はアーニーボールなどのボールエンド付のナイロン弦を使うと便利でこのギターの手軽さがなお一層感じられます。

Buon prodotto, comodissima da trasporto per le dimensioni veramente ridotte. Buona tastiera. peccato non abbia possibilità di equalizzazione e sia un po’ scomodo accordarla ma considerato lo spazio disponibile non si può ottenere tutto.

Pour une utilisation en guitare classique la position de la main droite change un peu mais la guitare est tout à fait utilisable. La qualité de fabrication est très bonne et le son avec un petit ampli vox est très correct. Elle a tendance à se désaccorder par contre assez rapidement. Néanmoins, vu les dimensions et le poids une tres bonne guitare de voyage.
