This Item fit perfectly in my 72' Fender American (USA) Telecaster and the original Jack fit the 3/8-32 Thread pattern perfectly also...

Good Option
If you are uncomfortable (or don't have the special tool to install the retaining clip ) or if the wood is just too chewed up from to properly hold the retaining clip), this Electrosocket Jack Plate is the thing for you. Easy to install and looks pretty good for a replacement ferrule. The wood around the jack installation hole was pretty chewed up all the way around it so to maintain the semblance of the original ferrule, this is pretty much the only option available. I only wish the two suppled screws were a bit longer. I ended up purchasing two #4 X 3/4" stainless steel oval head screws to ensure I had a good solid installation.

Fits on a Mexican tele no problem and works as advertised
Does the trick and you don't need to rip out that stupid retainer tab. A+++. Installed in minutes with just a screwdriver

Important upgrade
All my telecasters get these - itโs a small but very practical upgrade. Whether itโs a Squier or Custom Shop tele, it could use this and a Switchcraft jack.

Come on Fender!!!
Whenever I get a new Telecaster, I immediately install one of these. Then, I never think about an output jack again, until it needs to be replaced!! Once installed, which is easy... it won't wiggle or push through. And, you're only worry will be... Why doesn't Fender just build their telecasters with these??? ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ

Perfect fit for a MIM Fender Tele
The purchase was easy to make and installation was easy as well. Researching I had concerns on the fit (American vs MIM) but it fit and the jack threaded fine. Although I saw that you could install the plate without the nut I felt it gave a tighter, firmer fit imo. With that in mind I wish the the screws were a little more recessed and would have liked the screw to be a bit longer, but for what I paid, the build quality and ease of install I am very pleased. Why Fender doesn't come with a plate like this I'll never understand, if you own a Tele you know what I mean . . . Would highly recommend this Bad Boy without reservation.

WOBBLEY TELE JACK PERMANENT FIX
If your Tele's output jack is wobblin' and it won't tighten up, the ElectroSocket is the permanent fix. You simply remove the old jack cup along with the wedged jack anchor (cut it out with wire cutters), then thread the ElectroSocket onto the jack tightly using a lock washer and install the ES into the jack hole and drive 2 wood screws sideways into the grain. It is tight for life!
