This is NOT the horchata that Americans know. It is fruity herbal tea from Loja Province in the south of Ecuador. I visited family there and was introduced to their version. It tastes just like I remembered and is so good. So if you want to try a different kind of tea and appreciate something that's not well known, give it a taste! Review: Lived in Ecuador for many years... - During my many years living in Cuenca, Ecuador, this was one of the bands I would regularly buy at the local SuperMaxi and Coral supermarkets. It tastes a bit like echinacea or elderberry tea but has several unique indigenous varietals of several different herbs and flowers. Contains no caffeine and is sometimes attributed to the unusually long lifespan of the people in the Loja valley. I love that I can buy this here in the USA. You will not find this tea produced anywhere on Earth outside of Ecuador. The box came with the very familiar official government seal. I can attest this product is 100% genuine.

Delightful flavor and health benefits
Delightfully refreshing as a cold drink. Enjoyable hot too. Packaging says it’s made in Ecuador so it’s most likely the real thing the natives there drink. They often drink homemade, but these tea bags are quite tasty.

herbal not cinnamon-rice
If you are looking for Mexican style "horchata" (rice & cinnamon flavors) -- which I was when I ordered this product -- this is not that sort of horchata. It is, however, a very nice rooibos style herb tea, and recommended for what it is. In fact, I'm drinking an iced tumbler of it now.

Not Horchata
This is not Horchata. It’s something flowery and it’s pink. It’s very good but it’s not Horchata.

Great tasting!
First had this tea in Ecuador 3 yrs ago. Loved it and went back 18 months ago and got more. Haven't been able to go because of Vivid but was glad to get to order some. It's also great iced!

Wonderful, gentle herbal tea
This is a traditional Ecuadorean herbal tea, made with a variety of medicinal herbs. Very soothing. Mild flavor. Good hot or cold. Highly recommended.
