I followed the sizing directions. I wear street size 9 regular, so I ordered ballet size 7B. They are so small that the leather heal is too far towards my arch and is very uncomfortable for my heal to stand on half a heal pad and half off the heal pad. The worse part is my toes are crammed in there so tight, I lose circulation and after wearing them for while, I started getting bruises where my toes were pushed into the toes next to them. My instructor said they are way too small. UPDATE: I ordered size 8C, I can't believe these are the same shoe, they are delightful! Very comfortable! I can't believe one size makes that huge of a difference. The heal is perfect, there is plenty of toe width, and yet they are tight enough to stay put. Wow! Love this stretchy canvas. Too bad I can't get my money back for my first ones :(

The shoes are beautiful and lay flat against the feet creating perfect lines and no unnecessary gaps in the sides of the shoe. The pre-sewn elastic is in the perfect spot to hug tight and enhance the arch. I wear a size 5-6 street shoe. My daughter is a size 3 street shoe. I ordered these in a size 2C for her. I tried them on and can wear them, but they are just a little snug on my foot. The shoe FITS my daughter's foot perfectly, however she is not used to the crisscross elastic so she claims it's "too tight". After adjusting to the elastic she will be fine. She loves that there are no strings to tighten, tie and tuck in. Well worth the money spent.

These ballet slippers are great, but could be improved. First off, I love the stretchy material. I have been using canvas slippers for years, but love how these stretch and conform to the foot. Sizing: I'm a standard street shoe size 8. Practically every shoe I try on that fits is an 8. I also have wide feet, so I went with the C/D width in these slippers. I ordered a 7 C/D in the slippers and they fit perfectly - snug and comfortable. The heel, however, seemed to feel like it was wanting to slip off and my toes felt a little squeezed due to the elastic, so I also ordered a 7.5 Those were way too big, and had too much material in the toes. Pointing or doing a tendu didn't feel right as my toes were having to deal with the extra fabric extended at the end. So, I decided to keep the 7and return the 7.5 In class: The 7 worked great, except for the heel. When I'm standing flat, it's fine. But if I releve, the heel starts to slip. It has only come off once, and as class went on, it got better, but I still feel the need to tug at the heel to correct this. My guess is this has something to do with the stretchy fabric. The material is also thinner, and allows me to feel the floor more. The first day, this caused my toes to be a little sore after class, but all the subsequent classes, I haven't noticed it at all. So, if you are used to the regular canvas slippers, this might take some adjustment in terms of thinness. I do like that they have sewn down the front lining. Overall, I am happy with these shoes and they are very comfortable, and I'm enjoying the wider width. I also like the way they hug the foot and accentuate the arch and I feel the floor more. But, the designers should look into the heel issue as I've seen others complaining about the same thing. I would say that these are my favorite shoes yet. We'll see how durable they are.

I ordered as per my daughter’s street shoe and these seem to fit on the snug side/ and look narrow to me. She is wearing them and say they fit fine and she is the dancer so we are keeping them but I would say to size up half the size from your street shoe size. They are beautiful and that may be why she wants to keep them they make the line of her point absolutely gorgeous. They are above the average shoe you get at the store or beginning ballet shoe. If you are in competition or trying out for something I would absolutely suggest this ballet shoe as it really does make a difference in the lines of the point. We will buy this brand style again!

LOVE how this shoe conforms to my foot. It took me three tries to find the shoe size that works. I wear a size 8 for the most part in my street size, so I started with a size 6 as the chart says. It was way too small so I then went with a 6.5, which was still a tad too small for my liking. The 7 fits me perfectly. I’m excited to test it out in ballet class tomorrow!

It is just about impossible to find the right size online. I suggest you go to a ballet or dance store and get fitted. After you know your size, material (leather or canvas) and how you like it to fit, also Bloch Vs. Capezio differences that a store clerk can explain to you, then you can come to Amazon and buy a second pair. I tried so many sizes and styles and brands and I still haven't found what I'm looking for.

Perfect solution for a growing dancer! My daughter’s ballet teacher recommended these and at first I was skeptical and my daughter complained that they felt tight but after a few wears they seemed to mold to her foot and she says they are more comfortable than her leather split sole shoes. So far she has had them for almost 1 year which is longer than previous pairs. They are cloth so they do get dirty easily but I absolutely love that they are washable! I put them in a garment bag in the washing machine and they cleaned right up and we’re back to their ballet pink color. I air dried them.

Están excelentes, lo difícil es la talla. Yo soy talla 4 y medio en México, en zapatos de calle y me quedo la talla 6B. Mi pie es angosto.

Excelente material, calza perfecto para talla 22. Uno de los elásticos tiene un hilo salido, fuera de eso quedan bien, justo lo que necesitaba para la clase de intro al ballet.
