Well made, stronger than expected

Installed this 4" cable tray system in my attic for heavy Cat 6 cable runs. It is of good quality and well built. Definitely worth the price. Pretty sure I could stand on it and it would be fine. The tolerances on the spacing of the wire aren't perfect, but a pair of pliers fixes that. Overall very good.

Great for running large quantities of low-voltage cables between two points.

First off. I dont recommend either of the items that amazon does for this shelf. I instead went with some plumbing supplies from the local hardware store. All are the popular 3/8" style so we have 3 ceiling brackets, 3 steel 3/8 rods and 3/8 washers and lugs. I have seen this design for upward of $100 and thought I could make it in about $10 lol. Its not completely finished and I do require some cable management even still but the general idea of getting stuff of the floor is there. Since I use a real wood tabletop I was able to drill directly in as opposed to some reviews where I've seen them use the wall. I did not want to do that. PS I went with the AD ARAZY Electric Stand Up Desk Frame Workstation its $259 and a tabletop that is 60" by 30" that I purchased for $40 on FB and then sanded and refinished.

I know that this product mainly is used for server and commercial applications, however when I was shopping for cable management solutions for my desk, I wanted something that was at least 4 feet long and could attach to my wall rather than my desk. This was just that. This was the only product that I could find that was 5 feet long, which was the perfect length for my setup. Although the price is a bit high, I definitely know why. This thing has zero flex, unlike other desk mounted trays like the ikea signum etc. I couldn't bend this thing if I tried, it's that tough! Paired with two of their unique brackets that I attached to my wall and it slots right into the slots on the brackets and is a perfect fit. I would definitely buy this again given the chance and I would've bought it sooner and saved myself headaches of my past failures with this sort of thing. Live and learn!

Package came poorly packaged (strips of cardboard taped to the item instead of using a box) which left sticky residue on the item. It also has a significant bend on one end that appears to be a manufacturing defect and not due to shipping. Finally there is no mounting hardware included making this useless out of the box without additional purchases and time wasted.
