Great incense. Smells pure.
This is good quality stick incense. I'm weary of stick incenses because a lot of them are not pure and are modified with perfumes. (Like Hem.) This smells like copal and charcoal. Creates a lot of thick smoke.

Good quality
Bought Copal incense in Mexico. These have the texture and smell of Copal. Burn slow as they should.

LOVE
I absolutely love the way this burns and I personally love the smell. Lights quickly and stays lit until the end. It feels more special than a regular incense.

SPLURGE
I'm completely in love with this incense. It's quite expensive--for my budget--but worth every penny. It smells divine, produces a lot of smoke, and the scent lasts a long time. There's no weird undertones to the fragrance, which I always smell with India-Indian incense. It's not cloyingly sweet, just very fragrant and earthy. You can see the copal resin crystals on the stick. It doesn't burn as slowly as Fred Soll's incense, but more slowly than what I used to get at Whole Foods. Who ever makes and/or sends it to me always writes a little thank you note on the receipt. This makes me feel like I'm connected to other human beings who actually are making this incense by hand. If you like copal, this is worth the price.

No
Edited☆Damn.I wasn't paying attention and I ordered these AGAIN. And unfortunately the below review is still applicable. Folks might not pay attention to my view though as I was introduced to Copal via the sun dancers of the Yucatan white copal sticks which are the very best in the world. (That's what I thought these were) So others might enjoy these but for me it's a No. It just smells like some sort of charcoal burning to me.Oh wellI decided to give these a try and it’s something I very much regret. From reading the reviews you’d think it would be exactly the opposite. But I think those five star reviews are written by people who work for that company that makes this garbage. And that’s what it is. Cheap overpriced charcoal with a light dusting of copal. Very expensive charcoal. Oh well. You live and you learn

Authentic Copal
I searched all over for authentic copal incense. I was shopping, carefully reading ingredients, location and reviews and settled on this one because it was handmade in Mexico and the reviews were pretty persuasive. I wanted it to be as authentic and respectful as possible because I needed it for our families’ first ofrenda on Dia de los muertos, with our new son-in-law who is from Mexico. When we burned the incense and he said it smelled like what he was used to! Thank you for keeping such high standards and integrity for the things that are important in life!

Not much incense
I've been buying this for a long time. It's great incense. However, over the last few years, like so many things, the package has far less product included. ... making it a very expensive purchase for what you get.
