Skin-Tac™ Adhesive Barrier Wipes 50 count

This is to remove things like a CGM and the adhesive sticker you put on top of it.This works better than baby oil, and is apparently nicer than just acetone (nail polish remover) for the incredibly strong adhesive that go on top of CGM (see my other reviews), especially when using Skin Tac before installing the CGM and the adhesive.I recommend to use one throw-away glove (cheapest/thinnest is great), as with the gloves you can feel (cold) the parts of the compress that still have the product, and you don't waste any on your skin. Also no matter what these are nasty chemicals. You are getting some on your arm, no need to have them on your fingers. And last, the adhesive patches are sticky when this gets their glue to stop sticking to your arm, but they will still stick to your fingers.Procedure, start at any place where the adhesive is already a bit peeled from the skin, then wipe back and forth while pulling the adhesive away from the skin. Goal: get some of that liquid at the interface skin/adhesive.Be patient but go fast as these evaporate super fast.Unfold and use different parts of each pad before it's useless.I often need 2 of these to get rid of the full adhesive pad and the CGM (and wipe any side sticky/dirty ring on the skin around the patch.It IS worth the cost, like adhesive patches are. Patches to not waste an expensive CGM, and this to make removal simple and "fast enough".Even with experience, you might spend 3-5 minutes on this.With the Skin Tac (same brans, opposite function)Use: getting a CGM (continuous glucose monitor) Libre 3 to stick well for 14 days.- for one arm (alternate) wash the skin with soap and water. A larger area than you think you will need.- rinse it very well.- really really well. Soap residue won't help with anything- dry it- use some alcohol wipe for roughly where you will place the device (and break the skin barrier).- let it fully dry. Don't use anything to touch your skin, just let it dry.- wear some gloves (throw away, cheapest possible), open a packet and apply the compress where your CGM and where the wider sticker will go.- let it dry, throw the glove and compress to the trash (you can fold the compress inside the glove when removing the glove.- apply the CGM- apply the adhesive patch made for the CGM (see my other reviews)- don't clean/have a shower for 12 hours, and this will stick super well.

These skin tac wipes work very well. They are good for diabetics that wear the waterproof covers on their cgm’s. It really helps them to stick so much better. But your fingers will be very sticky, so you may want to wash your hands before applying the cgm cover.

Helps keep my Libre3 in place for the fifteen days! Works perfectly! It’s very sticky/tacky so have to be aware if gets on fingers or hands but washing with dishsoap will cut the tackiness offGreat product for keeping glucose sensors in place for 15 days. Love it!

Bought these to try something different that would keep my Dexcom g6 sticking better on my arms. Was using the Unisolve for this purpose. Works great on my arms and keeps those edges of the Dexcom stuck better. By the end of the 10 day Dexcom wear there’s definitely less peeling up. I tried on my abdomen for my Omnipod but after three uses I had a pretty bad allergic reaction on the skin (blistered and red) which gifted me a funky looking scar. Not the products fault as I don’t have the same reaction on my arms just the abdomen. I still use for my arms, unisolve for the abdomen. It is very sticky. Swipe around the area, blow it a little dry then place Dexcom. I use alcohol prep pads to wipe the excess around the Dexcom after to remove the sticky excess. Not so sticky everything you touch after sticks, but be mindful is all. Good product. I do use an adhesive remover (also unisolve) to get my Dexcom off after. If I don’t when using this - feels like I’m pulling my skin off - so clearly the product is doing it’s job.

This is my first time using the skin tax wipes, I have used the brush on liquid before. The liquid is amazing, but it is easy to put too much on and have a drip on the skin or if it drips anywhere else it makes a massive mess. The bottle also has a tendency to glue itself shut. The wipes are less messy, more convenient, I am able to take them to physical therapy with me, which is amazing. Normally I use them to keep my insulin and Dexcom pods on during the summer when it’s super hot and humid in the south. Currently, I am using it to keep kinesiology tape stuck to me. I’ve never been able to keep KT tape on and this helps the tape stay for more than 12 hours, which is awesome.

Nice wipes for diabetic sensors. Cleans up skin nicely before attaching new sensor.

Listen, I am Queen Clumsy. Walls don’t just exist—they lunge at me. Doorframes are my mortal enemies. Just before writing this review, I literally bumped into a wall (again), and guess what? My CGM didn’t budge. Normally, it would’ve popped off and taken a piece of my dignity with it. But thanks to Skin Tac Wipes, it held on for dear life like a tiny sticky superhero.Now, a word of advice from someone who once had half her arm covered in adhesive and the other half stuck to her own fingers—know exactly where you’re placing that CGM before you commit. This stuff is no joke. It’s stickier than my ex’s texts after 2 AM.So if you’re prone to clumsy collisions, surprise wrestling matches with furniture, or just need your CGM to stay put through life’s chaos, these wipes are your new bestie. Just…maybe don’t touch anything important after applying.

Work really well. Will be a recurring purchase for me.
