The Advisory Guide: Designing and Implementing Effective Advisory Programs in Secondary Schools

a phenomenal resource for secondary school advisory programs
My school is lucky to have Joe DeMartino consulting, and our advisory planning team has been able to spend several days working with him. As we were planning activities for the coming year, this book became one of our key resources for finding activities that would help our students learn the academic and personal skills that we outlined in our goals. Many of the activities are a bit general, but they are easily developed into more detailed plans, or they can be left in relatively simple terms, which allows teachers/advisors to modify them to better fit each advisory group. It also anticipates many of the planning issues that you may face, and it offers a variety of ways to organize and plan activities.
