How thick is the metal? Is it heavy gauge like a slow and sear?

It’s about the thickness of those charcoal chimneys or old metal trash cans or tonka trucks - I could bend it or crush it if I really wanted to, but I’d have to work at it.

I have a weber 22” kettle and want to use the vortex with an arte flame insert. will they work together?

What size is good for me 22 & the Weber Ranch

Medium Vortex is correct for a 22 Kettle. For the weber ranch,... the large might fit, but we don't know. The large is 8.5 x 13 x 6.5 high. can you please measure and let us know? you will need atleast 6.5" for the height of the large.

Why does it say for a jumbo joe ? is this for an 18" weber kettle ? i'm looking for the size for a weber ranch.

This will fit multiple weber charcoal grills like the BGE XLarge, Big Joe, UDS, etc.. It is 6.5" tall, so it might also fit the Weber ranch if there is at least 6.5" of room below the cook grate.
