Best way to get my dogs to take medicine
This Vetoquinol Pill Wrap paste is an absolute lifesaver for administering medication to pets. The moist, flavorful texture makes it incredibly easy to shape and wrap around any size or shape of pill, completely masking the medicine. It stays perfectly pliable, meaning you can use just the right amount every time without wasting a single bit. Pets look forward to it like a regular delicious treat, making pill time entirely stress-free. It is a highly effective, cost-efficient solution that saves time and prevents daily struggles.

LIFE-CHANGING!!!
Giving pills to my cat was a nightmare. This bacon-flavored wrap changed everything. Now, she gets excited when it is pill time (three times a day, for her). It works with her thyroid pill (methimazole) and the bitter-tasting heart medication clopidogrel. A thin layer of Vetoquinol and she eats them all up like treats. It is sticky and easily adheres to the pills and transforms them into little treats. I sound like shill, but, dude, this stuff has made her life and mine so much easier, especially with her heart condition, as she is supposed to remain calm. Pill time used to be stressful, and now it is easy-breezy. It took her a few tries to like it, like 2 days. (The bacon smell was totally new to her.) I kept trying out of desperation. Once she got a taste for it, though, life-changing. Highly recommended.

My dogs like it
Good pill wrap. I was afraid that my dogs would not like the taste or that it might cause stomach upset, but neither is the case. My dogs eat the pills I wrap every tme, and it seems safe and easy on the stomach. It is easy to scoop out, like a paste, and form around any pill. It is thick, but can be made as thin as needed. It has a smooth texture. It is quite costly. This is the only pill wrap I have ever tried, as it is what my vet sells, but since it works, I'll continue to repurchase as needed.

Excellent pill hider, but watch for tummy sensitivity
My geriatric cat will go on a food strike if he even suspects I'm trying to give him medication. Pills, liquids, crushed tablets hidden in food—he's seen every trick in the book. When my veterinarian recommended this paste for hiding an antibiotic, I was extremely skeptical. To my surprise, he scarfed it down like it was the best thing he'd ever eaten and immediately wanted more. I was honestly stunned. For a cat that normally treats medication time like a personal betrayal, this product was incredibly effective. The paste is easy to mold around pills and did an excellent job masking the medication. If your pet refuses pills, this may be worth trying. The reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that I suspect it didn't agree with my cat's digestive system. He had some loose stool while taking antibiotics, which can happen with antibiotics alone. However, three days after the medication was finished and his stool was nearly back to normal, I gave him two pea-sized pieces of the paste as a treat because he was still begging for it. Within about 90 minutes, his stomach started gurgling and he had diarrhea for the rest of the night. I can't say with certainty that every cat will react the same way, and I'm not willing to test it on my other cats just to find out. What I can say is that it worked remarkably well for hiding medication, and I will continue using it when pills are involved. I just won't be offering it as a regular treat.
