Perfect Replacement After Losing My Keys
I lost the keys to my old lock and needed a quick replacement, so I went with the Prime-Line E 2103 Cylinder Lock since it works with Schlage-shaped keys and fit my door perfectly.Installation was mostly straightforward, but I did have to cut the tailpiece shorter than I expected. That part was a bit tricky and took some extra effort, but once I got it trimmed, everything fit and worked smoothly. The key turns easily and is also simple to remove—no sticking or hassle at all. The lock feels solid and secure overall. I’m really happy with how it turned out and would definitely recommend it if you need a reliable replacement after losing your keys.

Outstanding value for a minor DIY project.
I recently installed the Prime‑Line E 2103 Cylinder Lock (1‑¼″, Schlage‑shaped keys) on my sliding Pella patio door, and I'm genuinely impressed. From unboxing to locking in under 20 minutes—this was one of the most straightforward and satisfying DIY upgrades I’ve done.Easy Installation: The lock fit seamlessly into the existing surface-mounted housing. Installation instructions were intuitive and simple to follow. 2 screws held my existing door handle together. I then used a hammer and screw driver to punch out the center hole. I cut the extra actuator arm off with a hacksaw and filed down the rough edges. It fit perfectly in my door handle and secured everything back together.Reliable Mechanism: The 5‑pin tumbler turns smoothly and consistently with the included keys, offering a much-needed level of security. When securing the door handle back to the patio door, don't over tighten the screws. It will cause binding while trying to lock/unlock using the key.Solid Brass & Chrome Finish: The material feels sturdy, with a polished chrome face and brass body that resists corrosion and wear.Perfect for Replacements: If you've ever misplaced your sliding door key or your old cylinder is jammed, this is a fast, cost-effective fix.Final Verdict: If you’re looking for an affordable, dependable sliding door lock replacement and don’t mind using the included keys, the Prime‑Line E 2103 delivers excellent value and easy installation. Highly recommended!

Works for what I needed, need power rotary tool for in-between increments
I needed to replace the key cylinder on a vinyl sliding glass door out to the deck. It's not sold in any home improvement stores near me, so I just chose a model here on Amazon, hoping it was the right one. It certainly looked like it in the picture. To my surprise, it came the very next day! Awesome. First off, it does not look like the one in the picture. The key is a different shape and the breakaway increments are bigger and farther apart than both in the picture and my original one. The key shape isn't a problem, so long as it works. It's a good thing I bought 2, though (have 2 doors that need cylinder replacement), because in trying to break the tailpiece into a half increment, I broke it too far and it wouldn't fit. Not to mention the washer holding the tailpiece in is extremely flimsy and cheap. Pulled out the rotary tool with metal disc cutter for the second time. Should have used that to begin with. We shall have to see how long the unit lasts into the future...I rarely use the locks on these doors.Pros: Fits in a vinyl patio door handle for sliding glass door.Cons: Minor differences from the listing picture, breakaway increments on tailpiece too wide, washer holding in tailpiece very flimsy

It's a great little lock, but a bit of work to install!
Wow! It fit my vintage sliding door handle perfectly! Works great! You better be a handyman if this is a new install tho... my door didn't come with a lock and so the hole for the lock in the handle had to be drilled out... don't try and knock the slug out... pot metal doesn't tolerate abuse well... and there is a little notch that needs to be cut out to accommodate the bar that keeps the lock stable, a metal file works great for this... and make sure the hole you drill is slightly, very slightly larger than the key hole housing or it won't turn once you install it. And then you need to drill a hole through the door so the lock mechanism bar has a space to slide through...A little work... but it does work! Whew!

Perfect for my Pella sliders.
Worked perfectly for my Pella sliding door. Fast and easy installation. Just put in a few drops of 3in1 oil to loosen up the pins and it works like a champ. Would by again.

Junk
The product was obviously returned as the packaging was taped and the pin that fits into the lock lever was bent as if it was forced. Forced? Well yeah, after the key was inserted it took a Houdini-like act to get it out. After a couple hours of frustration, I finally gave up and decided to return it but my grandson wanted to take it apart. So we did and consequently he was able to learn how a lock works. Or should I say, doesn’t work. Oh well, in the end I decided not to return it in order to save the next person the hassle. For $10, I wrote it off as an educational experience.

Maybe this cylinder fits other Schlage locks, but not a Camelot keypad deadbolt
This did not fit my Schlage Camelot Keypad deadbolt. The solid brass vertical bar does not have a notch in it, which makes it too tall to fit in my deadbolt.

Nice product, good price.
Nice product, only problem is I can't seem to align it properly but probably not a product issue, just me not doing something right.
