Moda Flame Pro 24 Ethanol Fireplace Burner Insert by Moda Flame

I bought the Moda Flame Pro 24" to insert in an existing wood burning fireplace. It's not just decorative, it actually heats up the room. My husband painted some firebrick black and placed them under the rim to hold it up. It looks like it floats.Some customers complained about a booming sound and flash when lighting the burner, but my husband found that just opening a small triangle at one end lets you start it Gently. I love the ambiance in the room. I especially like no ash piles or smoke to worry about as with the wood burning fireplace.It does put out some tiny white ashes easily vacuumed up after it cools off. However, this may just be from it being brand new.One quart of Denatured Alcohol lasts about 1.5 hours.

Our fireplace wasn't being used much because of the pain to set a wood fire and then clean up after. We had contemplated a gas insert but that was too expensive for no more than we thought we'd use it. Found the Moda Flame insert while looking for something else and decided to give it a try. Ends up being perfect for what we need, easy to set up and use, no cleanup needed after. You can put just enough fuel in for the time you need it or just slide the lid closed, no waiting for the coals to go out before leaving the house. I've found that we get a little over 2 hours per quart of fuel. The only issue with smell is when initially pouring the fuel in so I've started doing that outside and letting the odor evaporate for a few minutes before bringing it in and lighting it up.

I "had" a dark hole in my wall where a working fireplace was supposed to be. With it's beautiful stone hearth and unusual tile trim, I was determined to find a way to have a real fire as opposed to the electric alternative. Due to severe allergies, I could not burn wood and running a gas line into my home was very pricey. After lots of research I found the Moda Flame Fireplace burner and haven't looked back. It gives a very cozy flame and is very attractive. I placed it in my firebox then surrounded the burner with colorful river stones. It's simply beautiful!

Just took the wood out of my fireplace and put this in. Works as expected. Flames are a little too blue at times. I'd like more orange, hence 4 stars. But it is certainly less mess than wood. Just as romantic. My neighbors who thought it would be sacrilegious to not burn wood have decided that it looks good also.

Heavy gauge steel should be durable and last a long time. Included the ceramic wool wick for longer burn time. I like that I can build it into a holder or use it anywhere. Guests are always asking about it, it's a focal point for sure!

We love our Moda Flame.My husband made a table and we put the moda flame in the middle , it looks so nice. With cold days it keeps all house nice and warm.We have recommend the Moda Flame to everyone. Thank You

The build quality of this piece is top notch. I'm happy with the heat/flame output, and the fuel capacity is great compared to other table top units. I am building a table top enclosure for this insert, made from stone.

I have a see through wood burning fireplace and I wanted an alternative fuel source. Since we don't have natural gas as an option, I looked into bio ethanol. I love having a fire for the ambiance and as a heat source backup for our heat pump. This fits the bill for both and it does it so easily. I just set it in my fireplace with the flue closed; we plan on putting some decorative rock around it. If I want to leave the house I can just close it, there is no waiting for the embers to go out. It took about 15 minutes to get to a full flame, as it said it the directions. It will be nice to move onto the back porch on cooler evenings as well.

This is a great system. Clean, odorless, beautiful to watch, and,warm. Can not beat that !
