Planet Waves 25BL01 Basic Classic Leather Guitar Strap, Brown

This is a fine, sturdy, leather strap. For just over 10 bucks, I can't recommend it strongly enough. The button holes lock onto the strap buttons pretty tightly. For my parlour-sized acoustic guitar, weight isn't much of an issue, but it's broad enough that I think it would be fairly comfortable on the shoulder with a heavier instrument.

great strap. i am 5' 8" and i use this strap for my bass guitar. works great and because it is a little wider than two inches, I think it is around 2.5" it enables me to stand longer with the bass on. the leather is a little stiff, but can't complain because of the low price. the leather is thick enough and strong enough for my 9 lb bass.

Some other reviews stated it was a bit on the thin side. Its not the fancy strap with fur. It's not as thin as the strap i got with my Gibson Les Paul when I purchased it. So i was pleasantly surprised it was better quality. I use those washers to keep strap secured. It definitely feels sturdy enough for me. I would recommend getting it. I need this in a pinch for an up and coming gig since mine broke and it does the trick! Just think about it its under $15. I feel its a win win. You can always use it for some other guitar, like your acoustic...lol!

From reading the reviews here, I suspect this product has changed over the years. I just received mine (Nov 2016) and it's nice leather, made in Canada (woohoo - I actually found a product not made in China). It is plenty long enough and has a full range of adjustment. Very nice for the price. Anyway ... just wanted to confirm that mine is real leather (and the leather is nice quality) - since previous reviews had claimed man made material. Also that it has a wide range of adjustment for length. It's long enough to wear your bass low like a rocker and adjusts up shorter too - I wear the bass up high and had plenty of adjustment range.

It’s a fine strap. Yes, it’s real leather. Just fairly thin, single layer of leather. It’s comfortable since it’s not too stiff. Not the greatest leather strap but definitely worth the $11 and change I paid for it. However, it is short! I’m 6’4” 260# and it’s really to short for me. My LP ends up above my belly button. It rather have em in front of my 30 pack, not above it! LOL. I’m not complaining, I should have read the description better. My fault. If you’re shorter and looking for a economical leather strap it’ll work.

I bought this to personalize as a Christmas gift. It worked well and he has stated that it is quite comfortable. It is real leather and good quality!! It should be noted that he is about 5'10 and average weight (180lbs) and this is set at the most expanded fit so it would not work for a larger person.

I bought basic Brown for $16. Just as expected, not fancy, thin leather, but not too bad. I trust Daddallio. Adjusting strap is way too long and I have to cut it. I returned it as I have many other leather straps.

When they say basic, they mean it. I have a similar strap from an unknown manufacturer that is reinforced at the ends with plastic, but this one is just a simple piece of leather. The leather is just stiff enough that it's a little tough to get it around the strap buttons on the guitar, but I'm sure it will break in and get easier with time. It's very comfortable on the shoulder and looks nice. I'm using this on an acoustic guitar and I'm loving it. I might be a little leery of putting it on a heavy electric bass. . . I'm not sure how well the leather around the strap buttons would stand up over time. But then again, at this price I'd be willing to give it a try, and the width of the strap would distribute the weight of a heavier instrument over a little more surface area and make it more comfortable than a standard nylon strap. Bottom line is that this is a much better piece of gear than I expected for the price. I'll be buying more of these for some of my other current guitars, and probably for any future guitars I may purchase.

Good solid leather (says it is, looks, smells and feels it; but who can be sure these days!) A basic strap, no frills, and good value. Pleased with it Addendum. Several months later doing the job well, softening up, and clearly proper leather. A good buy
