This is so beautiful, it comes in a special pouch, very easy to install. Looks amazing, the water sound is just perfect.

Beautiful bamboo fountain. The pump is small which is fine for my small container, but might not be strong enough for a good stream if your container is really deep.

I had an indoor water fountain years ago -- or, as I called, an expansive cat hair filter. Threw it away . But, here in lockdown, I wanted to bring in the out door touch. I was grossed out by most everything offered on amazon. I also did not like the look of cutesie poo fountains on neighbors' porches: fake farmhouse and pre-distresed vertigris, it turns out, d not age well. I was delighted to find this product. It supplies the 'works' of the fountain, on a base, and you supply the container. It is spout, a base (bridge) and a pump. It is real bamboo. No poly resin . So, it feels good, it looks good and it sounds good. It also ages naturally. It gets a little grey in the wet places. The pump works well. I use it in a big pot so it doesn't get dirty. The great thing is, I could choose my own container. I could choose my own plants. I bought this set up first, and tried it out at home, before buying the container. I tried it out with mixing bowls, with garden pots, with anything that could hold water. It worked just fine. I kept searching amazon, and found the right container. I threw in some live bamboo, also from amazon, and also live cuttings. Excellent purchase.

Kept going back and forth on what find of fountain to buy.. then chose to make one instead.. Bought this and designed around it. I really like it for a lot of reasons.. And... There's an asterisk for that I'll get to. Pros- Three "speeds" for the pump. Very low pump noise / hum. Can use with a variety of bowl / container sizes. Very simple to install. Cons. None with design or usage.. However.. After w week of use, I had some leaking in the back of the bamboo opening.... This was after I cleaned the bowl and pump... So, disclaimer.. I don't know if I dislodged anything, but if I did it was with very gentle handling. I also noticed that the fountain was very slightly tilted "up" which I thought maybe had water accumulate in the back where it shouldn't.... But if that's the case, then it would be a bad design... Once I tilted it forward, it was still dripping... So I sprayed the back with clear sealant and it's fine. Don't know what caused it... But it shouldn't have happened... However since it worked fine before I took the bowl apart to clean, maybe... Maybe it could have been something that I did, although I did not clean that part of it... So I deducted a star for that. That said, it works fine now... Great sound, beautiful looking, and I'm happy. (note.. I use either spring or distilled water for two reasons. One, your pump will thank you.. And it will last longer.... And two, I have live bamboo in there (well, lucky bamboo, which isn't really bamboo)... And lucky bamboo will die if you have fluoride in your water, which almost all tap and even some filtered water has)

Just as described, I did by a solar pump to use instead the electric one it comes with. And it works great.

The bamboo is very pretty and the pump was quiet, just allowing a lovely trickling water sound. The pump was finicky to work after the first clean out we did on it after a week. After a few cleanings the pump has completely failed so I'm feeling like the piece of bamboo it attaches to is definitely not worth $40. Pros: - Easy to assemble - Easy to clean - Minimal and elegant - Soft fountain sound - Can be used in a variety of pots or bowls for whatever look you are going for - Cat loves drinking the running water Cons: - Pump life longevity is minimal, about 4-6 weeks before needing to be replaced - Bamboo and pump get dirty semi-quickly requiring frequent cleanings if using for a pet fountain - about once a week

I strongly recommend applying a water proofer before use to preserve the fountain. I learned my lesson the hard way. I had purchased a smaller version of this fountain last season to use on an outdoor apartment balcony, and within a few weeks the bamboo was getting moldy, and the spout was rotting. This time, before use, I used Thompson’s WaterSeal in the spray form. I sprayed on one thin coat, let it dry a couple of days, then applied a second thin coat and let it dry a couple more days before assembling the fountain. Spraying it on lightly, and not oversaturating, was key. I know it’s hard to take the time to do this because if you’re like me you want to put the fountain to immediate use, but I am so glad I took the time. I have had my new fountain running for about a month now and have not had a problem with mold or rotting. I also recommend using an algaecide, especially if your fountain will be used outdoors, like mine, where it’s often sunny, hot and humid. I didn’t at first, and bright green algae (at least I’m assuming it was algae) was building up on the inside of the spout, in the tubing and on the motor. It wasn’t hard to clean off, but I bought an algaecide and haven’t had a problem since. Overall, I think this fountain is nifty. I had to do some experimenting with different vessels and things like small rocks to get the sound I wanted, but the work has been worth it. I enjoy the soothing sound, and it seems to attract a lot of songbirds to my nearby feeders.

I really like the look of this zen fountain BUT there is a problem where the tube connects to the bamboo. This is the second one that has done this (I contacted the seller the first time and he sent me another one). The exact same thing happened to the second one in even less time! I think it’s only been a couple months since I started using this one. I didn’t touch it at all until recently I needed to clean out the algae in the tubing and it broke off where it was attached to the bamboo because whatever metal they are using just disintegrates! It’s too bad because it’s really a cool fountain you can put over a lot of containers and turn them into a fountain.

Superbe qualité ! Cette fontaine est très belle. On sent que le bambou est de bonne qualité. On peut le mettre en déco ou avec la pompe, qui comme toutes les pompes fait un léger bruit de fonctionnement (la bouger peut atténuer un peu). Très contente. J’aimerais la même version aussi en solaire.

Super joli et efficace, simple à installer et le son est juste parfait pour la création d'un espace zen au jardin...
