Besides adding a “new look” to your windows with a fresh set of locking hardware, these sash locks can help add peace of mind by restoring the security features on your sliding windows. These locks feature a design that allows them to lock aluminum-framed single-hungs, double-hungs and horizontal sliding windows without the need of a keeper. Each lock features a cam-type locking mechanism that mounts on the checkrail of the innermost sash and engages into the checkrail of the outermost sash. The upper, outermost sash on vertical sliding windows determines if it is a “single hung” or “double hung.” If the upper, outermost sash is non-movable, then it is a single hung window. A “double hung” window refers to both sash having the ability to slide up and down for ventilation purposes, and these sash locks can fit on both model types, in addition to some left/right horizontal sliding windows. The locks are constructed of diecast zinc and come in a corrosion-resistant, industry standard, white-painted finish to match other existing hardware that may already be in the home or office. Depending on the size of the sash, these locks can be used as singles or in pairs. Each set includes one lock, installation fasteners and simple instructions. Installation of these locks is quick and easy and can be done with a simple handheld Phillips head screwdriver. Other design features include a 3/8 inch latch projection, 5/8 inch backset on mounting holes, cam-action fastening, and 2-1/4 inch mounting hole centers. These locks fit windows constructed by International Windows and other manufacturers. Compare the style and dimensions of this lock to those required on your sliding windows and order yours today. ## Features - Fits single hung and double hung vertical sliding windows, in addition to horizontal sliding windows constructed of aluminum frames - Used without a keeper, these window sash locks mount on the checkrail of the innermost sash and engage into the checkrail of the outer sash - Replacing loose-fitting, worn or missing sash locks can help restore and increase the safety and security of the home or office - These cam-action sash locks feature a 3/8 inch latch projection that engages into the checkrail of the outer sash - The lock body has mounting holes that are spaced apart at 2-1/4 inch, on centers, and backset from edge 9/16 inch - Each lock is constructed of durable diecast zinc and come in a white-painted finish - Includes one lock body, installation fasteners and simple instructions - These sash locks can be installed with a simple handheld Phillips screwdriver - Please refer to the line art drawing for dimensions and compare with your needs before ordering ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00IPUFKXE | | Best Sellers Rank | #263,125 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #357 in Window Locks & Latches | | Brand Name | PRIME-LINE | | Color | White | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars (40) | | Finish Types | White | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00049793027801 | | Hole Count | 2 | | Item Dimensions L x W | 0.81"L x 2.93"W | | Manufacturer | Prime-Line Products | | Manufacturer Part Number | F 2780 | | Material Type | Diecast | | Model Number | F 2780 | | Mounting Type | Sash Mount | | UPC | 049793027801 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** PRIME-LINE - **Color:** White - **Finish Type:** White - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 00049793027801 - **Hole Count:** 2 - **Material:** Diecast - **Mounting Type:** Sash Mount - **Number of Packs:** 1 - **Product Dimensions:** 0.81"L x 2.93"W - **Unit Count:** 1 Count ## Images ![Prime-Line F 2780 Sash Lock, 2-1/4 In.
