Rieke 70mm Replacement Cap for Winpak, Hedpak & Generic Carboy, 2 Pack

I used this replacement cap to add a screw-in valve (sold separately). That allows me to just remove the original cap, replace it with the valve-added cap, turn the Hedpak on its side for a five gallon dispenser that is easily turned on and off. No spillage. Exact amount needed. When finished, I can put back on the original cap to store the Hedpak so the valve is not accidentally damaged while moving the heavy five gallon container.

Forty years ago we used these carboys to collect water from our spring. After four decades we realized it was finally time to replace them with new ones. The originals are still good for collecting rainwater and we're happy to have nice new ones to hold our drinking water. Recommended by those who know.

Cap is a good fit for my new North Mountain hedpak. Unfortunately, the plastic center will have to be drilled out instead of just popped out so I can use the spigot

Perfectly adequate extra lid for my hedpak made by Anchor Plastics and purchased on Amazon but it is not as thick as the original. Feels somewhat flimsy, particularly around the threaded portion in the center. I am concerned that it may break/leak without a spigot threaded into the lid. Time will tell.

I bought these to replace the ones that came with the original containers. They are much shorter and do not fully fit on the threads. I really couldn't find any other options, so I am using them for now, but they leak.
