I bought an all‑metal, weatherproof, O‑ring‑sealed “tactical” lantern back in 2017 for about $75, and it served me well for years (see photos of the old, beat‑up unit). When its coax charging jack started acting up, I went looking for a replacement — but Amazon and eBay didn’t seem to have anything similar. I wanted a light that hangs from the hand rather than a typical flashlight or a hunter‑style spotlight. My old unit used four CREE XML‑T6 emitters in four reflectors and produced a bright beam that was perfect for backyard use. Most modern options either lacked the brightness, the focused spot, or the right handle design. This new model seemed reasonably priced, and I wasn’t concerned about O‑rings or waterproofing. I’m not hiking or rafting with it — we just use it to check out the occasional disturbance in our suburban backyard. Bottom line: I’m very happy with it and plan to buy a few more as gifts for family and friends. PROS Use while charging — Can operate while plugged in. Beam performance — Extremely tight, bright spot (see photos). Lightweight design — Only 420 g without cords or lanyard, easy for older hands. Simple interface — Only three modes, making it much easier to turn off than lights requiring 5–6 button presses. Charging adapter — Excellent adapter, but don’t lose or break it (see photos). Charger is built into the USB‑to‑coax cable. Red/green LEDs show charging status, though the lantern itself has no battery indicator (see photos). CONS (These don’t bother me personally, but may matter to others.) Rubber port cover — The silicone USB/coax door partially blocks the charging jack, but the plug still inserts fully (see photos). No waterproofing — No O‑rings, sealant, or weatherproofing (see photos). Battery pack alignment — Mine arrived with the battery pack slightly tipped over. It doesn’t rattle. Maybe the foam/adhesive inside has softened over time? My simple fix is shown in the photos, but I wouldn’t have noticed the issue if I hadn’t opened the unit for unrelated reasons.

Have several of these and they are great! Lightweight and puts out a great amount of light on the high setting. Has a decent range and nice wide area of illumination. Durable and had lasted me years and years!!

First, while I' doubt this light is really 6000 lumens, it sure is the brightest handheld light I've ever seen. It's actually brighter than sunlight! I had afternoon sun shining into my kitchen and lighting up one of the kitchen cabinets. I shined this light onto the cabinet next to it, and this light was much brighter. I took it outside where the sun (granted, it was late afternoon sun) was shining on the side of a building. Again, this light actually made a brighter spot on the wall, from about 40' away, than the sun. After dark, it clearly and distinctly lights up things 250 yards away, the longest line of sight I have here. This is definitely a SPOT light, not a flood light, although it does a pretty good job of lighting up an area around the main spot beam.. The light also comes with 2 little lights that look like thumb drives. They plug into the back of the light and provide small-area lighting without using a lot of battery power. The main light is so bright, it's really too much for general usage, especially at close range. This light replaces a Brinkman Q-Beam LED, which I had thought was very bright. This one is much brighter: at least twice as bright, even on the "weaker" setting. It's also considerably more compact than the Brinkman and VERY light. When I handed it to my wife, she asked me when I was going to put the batteries in it. It feels like it doesn't have batteries, but it does. If you're looking for a BRIGHT spot light, this is outstanding. How long it lasts remains to be seen, but my initial impressions are very positive.
