GReat Cart!
When I purchased this cart, I wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it was. It is made out of real wood, with a nice sturdy butcher block top. It wasn't too bad to put together, everything was marked and the instructions were easy to read. It took me and my husband about a half an hour. It is well worth the money spent on it. I purchased this for my kitchen and will probably purchase another one for my craft room.

Great purchase!
This is a very solid and mostly easy to assemble kitchen island. I've been putting together shelving and storage units together for years, and have never seen one so well made. It was also very well packaged for delivery without damage.Just a couple reasons why I did not give it 5 stars. It is not quite the color I was hoping for, with more red than brown; it seems to be their "Warm Oak" rather than "Cottage Oak". That was important to me because of the oak colors in my kitchen cabinets. And while the assembly instructions were fantastic, as others have indicated, there were several pieces that were not marked correctly. Fortunately, before assembling, I envisioned what the results would be. For instance, the very first piece -- one of the sides -- was marked as "B", when it actually should have been "D".Overall, I am extremely happy with the purchase, which added much-needed counter space and storage to my kitchen.

Great addition to our kitchen
delivered on time, No issues, clear instruction, My wife assembled it in a little over an hour, after my stroke she has been doing a lot of the things I always did, took her time followed the instructions everything aligned and fit easily together, turned out beautiful, she wanted it for her baking and extra counter space. now she is talking about a 2nd one. If your thinking about one get it you will not be sorry, just take your time ands read instructions, lay out parts and you'll be happy too!

Poorly made, poor instructions
It took almost four hours to put together because pieces were cut incorrectly and pre-drilled holes did not line up properly! On the front facing, the holes were drilled on the wrong side! We tried and tried to figure out how to add the facing to the cart; turns out is was backwards because the holes for the screws were drilled on the wrong side. We had to drill new holes on the correct side, but now have two holes on the front of the facing and have to find some sort of plugs to cover the holes. The two drawers are not deep enough to put cooking utensils in. The wood top came with two pieces of wood, but the instructions did not mention what to do with them! Save yourself some frustration and steer clear of this cart!

French Provincial Color
This is not Oak but French Provincial. It is a reddish color and does not have the oak grain.(I haven't figured out what I going to do with the color and grain as it doesn't match anything else in my kitchen.)Other than that it is a great buy. Well made and very nice looking.I put the rollers on and locked but added an additional oak piece of floor around the bottom so rollers do not show and it appears as a built in.I also did not put the end pieces on as I extended the cabinet top another 18 inches and then cemented the entire cabinet top.Other than color this is an outstanding piece of furniture and that is why I gave it a five star rating.

nice, but....
real wood veneers on top of pasteboard, so use no power tools, repeat but use no power tools, and make sure you don't overtighen any screws. fairly easy to build, but tolerances are like +/- 5/32" so, leave everything finger tight until you have all the screws started. comes in 2 boxes, both are well packed. i was afraid to get granite, because i though shipping could damage the rest or break it...not to worry, would get granite now seeing how it came in.for what it's costs and the convenience, it's worth it to me....nice looking, extra storage, and more counters. would've given more stars if it was just closer to being wood or at least a harder recycled wood product.

Great looking kitchen island, but not perfect.
Overall, it's a great looking piece. I gave it 4 stars for two reasons, the instruction manual is about as basic as they come and some parts just don't fit. Would be nice to have a bit more detail regarding each part and how they are to be laid out for assembly. For example, arrows to illustrate what's up, down, whatever so I know how the next panel is to be attached. I've built quite a few of these furniture-in-a-box products, but this one made me pause to insure it was built correctly. Something the instructions could have helped with.Second, the fit of the drawers is off. Because the drawers are preassembled with the sliding rails, there is very little to adjust. Between the two drawers is a wooden block that attaches via a wooden peg and a screw from the back of the cabinet. Directions either suggest the wrong screw or the hole for the screw is too small. In either case, fit was not what was expected. The drawers, when installed, are also crooked but straighten up once closed only to be crooked again when opened. Purely cosmetic, but that's kinda the reason for buying it. Would be great if they fixed this.
