GSI Creos - B601 Top Coat Gloss, Mr. Hobby

Dries fast. Runs out quick. But good product. Used this product because I wanted to give a gloss coat finish similar to what I seen on the official version of transformers Takara MP-44 Optimus prime. I made sure to evenly coat the robot mode from all sides and after each coat dried I would maneuver the figures to ensure all sides have been covered. Then I transformed to vehicle mode to hit the areas that were not treated in robot mode. Results are pretty good and gave the figure a more premium finish and feel. But take your time. Don’t try to do it all in one go. Multiple coats with plenty of dry time to make sure you don’t get any bubbles or sticky areas.

Best clear coat that I have ever used, especially over decals. Lays down exceptionally well,awesome gloss.

Warm it up first, warm water for 3min. do three coats, looks great and gives a nice finish.

Best top coat brand for plastic model kits, and for gundam specifically imo gloss>matte.

It was a great product and worked really well. It made my new Strike Freedom look absolutely beautiful, however I recommend you wear gloves and wash after spraying. The day after I used it my hand got blisters on it and they spread around my hand. Overall I am very satisfied.

I always buy this. I make plastic models and I can use this for all the models that I make. No issue on a old decals and paints. Perfect result!!

Works great

I have nothing against this spray. It's supposed to be a great top coat spray or so I heard.The only problem was that the paint that I'm using for my scale model is Mr. Color, and Mr. Color Spray, both lacquer paint. GSI Creos Top Coat and Premium Top Coat are both for Mr. Hobby, water-based acrylic paint. You can use water-based finishing spray over lacquer paint (not the other way around), and water-based finishing spray is easy on decals. But a water-based finishing spray does not provide a thick coating to polish with compound. Mr. Super Clear is for lacquer paint, such as Mr. Color, provides coating for polishing.Thought I'd write a review since I got confused and purchased this and now I don't know what to do with it, and my review might help someone else out there. If you're painting your scale model with Mr. Color and thinner, then Mr. Super Clear is what you need.
