Buy these. They make a HUGE difference
The plastic ones that come with the Badminton sets are usually terrible. These ones are nylon and have a much better quality. They don't warp, so they fly true. They make a big difference, even if you're just playing for fun with the kids in your yard.

Durable
When it comes to shuttlecocks these are way more durable than the cheaper ones you might be tempted to buy. I have purchased the lower quality plastic and rubber ones and they last about an hour of play before tearing and falling apart. These ones can go through many sessions before ever developing a tear. I went through only half a can last summer and that was hours of use every week. Durability is a must in youth ministry where middle school students are not gentle at all with the rackets or shuttlecocks.Be aware however that medium speed means that on a hard spike it will slow after the first 10ft or so. This is not necessary a con, just requires a different competitive play style.

Good for practice
My friends and I killed quite a few feather shuttlecocks, them especially with their tennis serves. But these hold up a lot better than the feather ones. I mean the feather ones fly better and all, but they are expensive and get damaged easily, especially if you don't know what you're doing. So these nylon ones with a cork bottom fly better than the cheaper shuttlecocks with a rubber bottom. Overall, I'm happy with them and I trust Yonex. It's true that you can get them cheaper in stores, but it's really convenient to get stuff off amazon.

Changes the game when you have quality birdies with which to practice.
Fly straight and true. Beginner level but we wanted to expand into more complicated shots.

but yellow ones are better accepted by my eyes
Everything as promised, and expected. Except for Shipping -- it was much Faster than any expectation. Thanks!! The flying speed is a little bit slower to my preference. Purchased these (Mavis 350 white) and the (Mavis 2000 yellow) at the same time. Have not used it enough to judge on their reliability yet, but yellow ones are better accepted by my eyes. Otherwise they feel and look exactly the same to me.

Good speed, not bad construction
I really like using Mavis 350's because they model the actual flight path/speed of a feather birdie much better than the other models that I've used before (2000 and 300). I find 2000's to be too fast and 300's to be a little slow and dull (in the sense that the arcs in which they fly when you clear seem a bit lower to me than usual, but maybe I'm being too picky)Either way, I like the 350's the best and I usually get yellow's just because they're far easier to see in actual game play (it's the worst when you lose a game because you can't see a white bird because you're playing in a gym with white walls and bright white headlights on the ceiling).I would give these 4 stars (not 5, they're not perfect after all...) if it weren't for the fact that they have a nasty habit of fraying on the edges quickly, which makes the chance of the net mesh tearing a lot higher. Once that happens, it just doesn't fly the same anymore :( at that point, I usually switch it out, but then I quickly end up with a canister full of frayed birds (which sucks).

Perfect for our needs
I am in no way a professional or have much experience on which to rely when judging these. However, I will say that my kids and I have used the heck out of these things and we're still on the first one! The originally supplied shuttlecocks that came with the badminton net fell apart rather quickly, as did the replacements from another store. These have done exceedingly well for us. Thanks!
