3mm Brushed Silver ACM Aluminium Composite Sheet 9 SIZES TO CHOOSE (1220mm x 800mm)

Turned out to be absolutely perfect for mounting a motherboard on. Easy to drill and the inner composite material is soft enough that the stand offs could be screwed into it by hand, but hard enough that the thread holds even when notable force is applied. For some reason and like a couple of others on here, I was expecting more aluminium but 5/5 stars as I can't really fault the description. Probably worth turning the word "composite" over in your head a couple of times before buying if you're a bit of a space cadet like me.

Can't knock the product or speedy service, but my mistake I thought it was a solid 3mm thick piece of metal. As indicated, this a composite sandwich with aluminium skins on either side. Returned with absolutely no issues.

Just what we needed

A sandwich of thin aluminium facings over a plastic material. It is naturally very lightweight but also more flexible than would be solid aluminium. Its labelling suggests use within sign-making but a similar product is used by an artist friend as a support for his A3 and A4 sketchbooks when out and about although that is not how it will be used. kept in his car boot, they take up no space. It will fill a gap between two almost adjacent equipment racks to allow another piece of equipment to straddle them when it would not fit on either one alone. There is very little weight and the sheet will be supported at both ends. Width-wise, it is perfect to within a couple of millimetres as the nominal depth of the racks is 12-inches.

This is a sheet of composite material coated with a paper-thin layer of aluminium so it is no use for the heatsink purpose that I needed it for. I still need to find a solid piece of aluminium .

Bought this as a background for a 3D picture. Worked very well. The ACM material was certainly stiff enough to hold the hold the 3D picture even though it had some weight to it. The material was also very easy to drill, hence mounting my picture on it was a simple process

Company were great from the off, emailed me, everything sorted, delivered in timeframe, reall great product, i am using it as a heat shield for my log burner

This "aluminium" plate is basically plastic covered by a very thin layer of aluminium. It is an absolute scam! Don't buy this product!

Ho acquistato questa "lastra" di alluminio per utilizzarla come base per una fresa...purtroppo per MIO ERRORE non ho letto bene la definizione e mi sono accorto una volta ricevuta che la lastra è composta da 2 fogli di alluminio che racchiudono un interno in un materiare rigido(forse plastica dura). Tutto sommato è molto rigida ma nel mio caso dato che ho dovuto fare dei fori anche abbastanza grossi un po ha perso la sua rigidità flettendo un po...però penso che sia normale nel momento che la sua struttura è stata compromessa appunto con dei fori... Per il mio scopo non è stata il massimo...però do le 4 stelle perchè se utilizzata nel suo formato originale è un buon prodotto.

Ich habe diese Compound-Platte als Montageplatter verbaut. Der Aufbau ist Kunsststoff und beidseitig von ALU-Schicht bedeckt. Lässt sich hervorragend mit einem Winkelschleifer zuschneiden ohne auszufransen.
