Quality Test
This is little guy is a life saver for sure especially going out in the high mountains. I gave it a little test and the water tastes fresh. If you’re thinking about getting one this is it right here. Nice and convenient, it comes with a little lanyard you can hang around your neck or you can fit it in a pouch. It’s great quality and the filtration system works great !

A must have survival tool in your backpack.
I use this on extensive hikes and camping trips in the desert and mountains east of San Diego. I think this is a critical survival tool (water) along with a knife and matches and cooking pot. I have personally used these in the desert when hiking in canyons where I find palm trees on top of small oasis of water. The water is contaminated with insects, algae etc. but this straw filters the water to be healthy and safe,.

Filter zuverlässig Wasser aus Bächen etc.
Ich habe die Wasserfilter angeschafft für unseren Urlaub in Norwegen, damit wir aus Flüssen, und so weiter Wasser während der Wanderung zur Verfügung haben, ohne zu viel Wasserflaschen von Anfang an zu schleppen. Dafür waren die Wasserfilter gut, und haben ihren Dienst getan. Jetzt wandern sie in meinen Notfall Rucksack, und warten darauf, dass sie beim nächsten Wanderurlaub wieder eingesetzt werden. Man muss zu den Filtern sagen: sie sind so gedacht, dass man entweder direkt durch den Filter aus einer Wasserquelle trinkt - was bedeuten würde, dass man sich wie ein Hund oder Ähnliches runter beugen müsste und direkt aus einer Pfütze oder einem Bach trinken müsste, ansonsten muss man sich eine Flasche nehmen, den Filter draufschrauben und dann daraus trinken. Hierbei muss man beachten: es kommt kein harter Wasserstrahl aus dem Filter, bedeutet das relativ wenig Wasser durch den Filter durchkommt. Wenn man also mehr Wasser in kürzerer Zeit zur Verfügung haben will, dann sollte man sich einen manuellen Filter holen (auch hier auf Amazon erhältlich) welcher mit einer Art Pumpenfunktion eine größere Wassermenge durch zwei Schläuche oder Ähnliches filtert. Einen solchen Filter hatten wir ebenfalls dabei, und diesen haben wir abends immer benutzt beim Lagerfeuer um schnell eine größere Menge Wasser durchzufiltern. Für kleinere Mengen ist dieser Filter hier aber vollkommen ausreichend - aus meiner Sicht für ein Notfallrucksack oder Ähnliches ein Standard Artikel, der in jedem Fall dabei sein sollte. Ich würde den Artikel wieder kaufen. Das Wasser aus der großen Pfütze auf dem Bild konnte ebenfalls ohne Probleme gefiltert werden - einfach mal so als Einschätzung, was man mit dem Filter alles filtern kann.
