I saved a lot over buying such a socket at a local auto parts store or Home Depot, yet this socket seems very well machined and chrome-plated. It's heavily constructed and thick around the rim for strength, ground with 6 convex faces and rounded corners, to avoid rounding the corners of nuts. It locks snugly onto my 1/2" ratchet's ball-bearing. I feel that it'll be strong enough to one day remove the 30mm axle nuts on my Camry as well, with 15" breaker bar if needed. I'd recommend to non-professionals as a quality "value-priced" 30mm socket for hand ratchets.
