Adafruit AM2302 (wired DHT22) temperature-humidity sensor [ADA393]

The device has worked very well in my experiments with IOT and ESP8266 Arduino IDE programming. I do see that several reviews show the devices may fail in less than a year though.

I ordered through Amazon because Adafruit said they wouldn't deliver to my PO box due to "fraud". Oh well. The device works awesome! The ends of the cables are soldered but sadly it's not enough to use with jumper wires unless you strip the cables a little bit more to fit into the female ends. Other than that it took no time to get it wired to my raspberry pi and start taking measurements!

Works pretty well and didn’t need calibration.It doesn’t look like it will stand up-to the year of time though. Cheaply made

Very accurate, reading temp and humidity for my boat perfectly. I have built 3 thermostat control boards to replace my old boards on a Marine Air unit that were going to cost me close to $700 per air conditioner to upgrade.

Used these with an arduino or esp module to sense temperature inside an enclosed server rack, and then control fan speed based upon the internal temperature.

I bought 2 of these and they were BOTH dead within 1 year. I complained to the company and they told me they wouldn't replace it since they have a {{{{{{30 DAY}}}}}} return policy on sensors intended for long term monitoring of humidity and temperature. 6 months is not what I would consider a reasonable shelf life for this product. There's a cheaper, PRIME version of this product, just search for it. Avoid this company (Adafruit).

Had to strip the wires back a bit more, but then it was able to connect and works great!

This was perfect for my needs - it has a resister built in, so you only need to hook up the 3 wires

It is a good buy, just the cable is short, it can be large ( a foot large) for the convenience. Rest is perfect
