Van Aaken Modeling Clay 1Lb Ivory

The clay is stiff upon removing the wrapper but give it a few pushes, pulls and maybe some rolls and it becomes soft and mushy like clay ought to be. It holds the shape of the items I need temporary impressions for when casting resin.

Works as expected. Firm until manipulated. I use a heat gun on low to speed up initial manipulation and when smoothing or changing face sculptures (for prosthetics).

Came in well, packaging was good. Only thing is it crumbles if you use it too fast. You should play around with it for around 10-20 min and then it will become mailable. Overall good purchase, it is a bit more premium compared to what you find in retail stores.

Excellent product. Bought for basic molding of 3D shapes as reference for drawing practice & quick iteration of character head & body shapes. I haven't touched playdough / clay in 21 years, yet in these images you can see what I managed my 1st time using this stuff. My tools? This is great modelling clay. Pisble and easy to cut and use
