This is a good book , It’s a fiction book and wrote in a manner to understand what you read . Great characters and stories.

This book opened up a lot of thoughts to me. It inspired me to read and understand more of The Old Testament.

Wonderful and great information on Aaron. I truly enjoyed reading the facts and history of Caleb and the life He led. Great information on the life of Silas and the journeys He took. Inspiring facts that told more of their lives and their journeys and walks with their God and their work for the light in the world and to share God's love among those who are lost. Highly recommend her books for anyone looking for a great and woman of faith to inspire you with her wisdom and inspiring storytelling from the Bible.

My favorite author wrote a brilliant series of stories about men from the bible in a way that is relatable and historically accurate. This book is hard to put down!!

The print is small and light print. I’m 85 and my eyes aren’t what they use to be even with glasses. But I love Author Francine Rivers’ writings. The stories come to life! Her writings bless me so much. It’s worth the effort and time as I receive greater understanding and love for the Word of God

The book holds your interest and problems given one can relate to in our everyday life. Also the in depth discussions were a great asset to the book.

Francine Rivers brings the Bible alive with stories of people.You can relate with them. While the books are somewhat historical,they also gives a picture of today ‘s time. The people become real.It shows that mankind is more similar than not. That we all should follow the 10 Commandments & the world would be Love. That God is a forgiving God. Our Father will forgive or sins, but we must follow him.

If it is hard for you to open the bible, these books are amazing stories that stimulate your interest in learning the Truth. Rivers has a wonderful sense of storytelling that elicits you and grabs your attention bringing me right into the heart of the historical times. I am a devout Christian and was given one of her books when I was Baptised at 39. I had never read the Bible, raised Jewish, and have now read most of it and am a seeker of God's heart. When I read Rivers books, I am part of the relationships that she brings to life: the heartache, the hopes, the heroes and the light of the wisdom learned through scripture. I can't help but open the Bible and want to learn what is in it, after learning how our Mighty Lord always "saves" those that revere Him. No matter what religion you are, you learn from opening the Bible about our history and how to live a good, Godly life. These books will help motivate you in a way that something else might not have.

These novellas, within the faithful adherence to the TRUE SCRIPTURAL FRAMEWORK are duly ministering, written as they are with raw emotion, depth & sheer manifestation of faith, actions & repercussions which the protagonists Aaron, Caleb, Amos, Jonathan & Silas go through. The experience of words is of the scale of a spectacular cinematography-- Superb!!

Even if parts of the story are "just" fiction (and you should always keep that in mind when reading) the book was very challenging in a positive sense. Specially the first story about Aaron ...

If this work by Francine Rivers is on a par with previous material the rating given will stand. Reviews are often called for too soon and give the purchaser little time to wear, read, use or whatever but it also needs appreciating that the work of this author can also be used as a comparative 'study guide' and needs working through, rather than simply reading as a novel. Based on her previous works this will be similarly mind blowing and thought provoking. Written as non fiction and studying the life and times of prominent biblical characters, both female and male, the works call for the reader to look at related original biblical texts prior to becoming immersed, almost as an observer or companion, in the piece. The writer has a gift for embellishing and enriching the original work with extremely thought provoking observations that are not necessarily found in the bible but that compliment serious study of it.

Whole this book was written for men, it gives such an amazing insight as to what these great men of the Bible may have experienced! I would read over again & actually gifted this book!
