When Ted falls out of bed, three tearaway mice whisk him off on a breathtaking adventure. They zoom around in fast cars, go on a balloon ride and climb a building-block mountain. It's all very exciting, but will Ted ever get back to his bed?One Ted Falls Out of Bed's counting theme is woven perfectly into a magical, rhythmic text by former Children's Laureate, Julia Donaldson, and features gorgeous illustrations from Anna Currey. Review: Must have in kids library - Great JD book with beautiful illustrations. Loved by 2yr and 5yr old both. Review: Nice book - My 2.5 y daughter loves reading this book

Rhyming words and some are hard for babies
Good book to start reading for little babies. Some of the words are hard though the babies are mostly listening to the sound of the words. The illustrations are ok, not as great as other Julia Donaldson books. Good to keep

Mais il est remonté!
J'ai acheté ce petit livre pour initier ma fille à l'anglais. Dessins très jolis histoire idéale car elle raconte ce que tout doudou a déjà vécu: tomber du lit!

Has all the elements of a great bedtime book
We have enjoyed reading bedtime stories to our son since he was three months old. He's now approaching two years old and a total bookworm. All this to say we have amassed a mini library in the house of a the wide variety of books aimed at different age groups and there seems to be a formula for a successful bedtime book 1) it should have an easy rhyming scheme (our son loves to finish sentences in books and those with good rhyming styles help him remember the word), 2) have strong visuals that aren't too garish for a toddler (I realize realistic looking character are a winner), 3) the story should end with something fun e.g "..and a big kiss! or a "Night! Night!", 4) there needs to be an element of repetition, either with actions, sounds or images and lastly 5) they should be should be fun and engaging for both parent and toddler! This book delivers on all of the above. We initially borrowed it from our local library but after renewing it 5 times I realized it was time to buy the book! It is a firm top 10 favorite with our son. The book charts a teddy bears adventure through his owners bedroom one evening when he accidentally falls out of bed. He races cars, has tea with dolls, flys balloons and gazes at stars just to name a few adventures. With each new adventure your counting from 1 to 10 and back down again until the "one Ted who fell out of bed" is back in bed snuggled up to his owner. It's a cute story, easy to read before bed (not too long/short) and has a little educational element with the counting. Borrow from your local library to decide what you think first but I'm sure it will also be a bedtime favorite of your little one too!

A New Classic!
My husband and I started reading our son this book when he was 11 months, he is nearly 2 and he still loves it. As parents, we like it too. It is a great length, has beautiful (watercolor?) illustrations, nice language and is generally much more pleasant to read than most other books for toddlers. Additionally, the fact that it rhymes and counts from one to ten means that it is an easy story for me to remember and repeat to him on occasions where we are waiting but don't have the book with us.

I love it
I really like Donaldson's book and decided to buy it for my 18-month-old son and as soon as I received I was impressed by the beautiful rhymes and colours. Unfortunately my son never wants to read it, I really cannot understand why. Maybe it's not suitable for him, I'll have to wait a bit.
