I bought two of these and i can’t get the remotes to work. i assume both of them wouldn’t be broken, so am i doing something wrong? is there a trick?

My remote worked after it was inside for a little while. Held down the buttons and it starting responding. Hope it still works when I actually put it outside. I tried all the patterns too.

This is for AC 110-240V, 50/60Hz.
