Thanks! **Q: Are these leaves washed and ready to use or I need to wash it before use?** A: These are dried leaves I wouldn't wash them... ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality, fresh, and does what it is supposed to *by R***Y on May 12, 2021* Since I suffer from chronic constipation issues I have always kept on hand senna tea (or similar herbal teas that will do the same thing as senna), but my local Amish supplier stopped carrying the brand I always used to get and when I started looking to purchase elsewhere, was horrified at what retailers normally charge (even on Amazon). I decided to start making my own tea bags, found this brand of loose tea, read thru the reviews and decided to give it a shot. I'm delighted with the product. It's fresh, smells like it should, and WORKS like it should. Since I'm a tough old bird, I have to use 1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons per teabag and let it steep until I get around to drinking it, which many might find would turn them inside out, but it's perfect for me. For most people I would recommend sticking to 1 teaspoon per bag, and letting it steep for 5 to 10 minutes, maybe up to 15 minutes. And for those of you who hate the taste of senna tea (ok, ok, it's like drinking brewed alfalfa), I suggest you add a teabag of peppermint tea. Makes it go down much easier. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works *by G***Y on September 13, 2023* First quality seems ok. Steeped for ten minutes, tea made from senna tastes lot like alfalfa tea. Not wonderful, but not horrible. You can read all you want about best dosage, but you will have to experiment to find right dosage for your body. Start with small amount like a teaspoon, and gradually increase amount. you will know if you get too strong a dose as you will get some cramps. Like say start small amount and gradually increase until you get results you want. For me personally, 150lbs old man, I found that a level tablespoon of crumbled leaves in cup water works best. Hot water, ten minutes steeping, strain and drink. Taste not wonderful but ok without trying to mask/modify it. Seriously think sweetener would make it truly nasty tasting. Your mileage may vary. Senna is more an overnight thing, not something that gives immediate results. But dont ignore any urge to go or you may have cleanup in aisle seven... especially if you got little too strong of a dose. In a world where people worship experts and corporate daddy knows best, sometimes you just have to experiment to find what works for you. Next summer going to grow some senna, its an easy plant to grow and butterflies like the blooms. I have grown it in past as a flower.
