I purchased this camera after extensive searching and reviewing multiple videos.The camera comes packaged very well and when taking it out of its box, I was impressed with the immediate feel of quality. It's something that you can touch and know it is solid and well made.I charged the camera for 2 hours as suggested and then went into the setup which is very easy to follow.In connecting the unit inside my car, I used the suction mount, knowing that when I found the right place to position it, I would probably need to use the 3M glued mount. So far the suction has held through much heat and a lot of vibration.I also purchased the cabin camera with this unit. It mounts solidly into the mini HDMI connection and gives great interior shots with it's 170 degree field as well.The only possibly complaint I could have is the magnetic connection holding the camera to the mount is too aggressive, causing the mount to swivel each time the camera is removed and necessitating adjustment again.That said, the camera is made in the UK with distribution and customer service in the US. I contacted them with questions before purchase and they were fast to answer and had excellent skills in handling questions.I would recommend this camera to my friends and family with no hesitation.

I bought this camera after my ddpay broke down after almost 5 years of use. I read the reviews of this one and tell myself let's try it.It seems good quality and well made. It has "all the features" that you want from the dashcam. Very easy to use except for one thing...the app. At least on my iPhone 11, the app is useless. You can't see live view or live video neither the video on storage card and the wifi and Bluetooth disconnect from the phone when you use another app and to reconnect is a pain in the.... So, when you are on a trip and see something that you want to video it, you have to pull over, stop, take a picture or video and go because you can't do that on this dashcam. I wrote customer service about it and after 2 weeks the answer asking me questions about my phone and that's it. No more customer service. So here I am in the middle of nowhere with this camera. That's why I give it a star.

I got the camera a few months ago, and I was unable to connect to the app. I gave it one final try before giving up, and I got it! It is a process.-Install the Nextbase Player on your computer. -Download the firmware.-Save the extracted files in the mini SD card.-insert the SD card in the camera.-The firmware installs automatically.-Follow the instructions to connect camera to the app.I still have to install the camera in my vehicle to attest to the quality of app, video, and all that.I might remember and come back to update this review.I hope this was helpful.

This dashcam does exactly what it promises. First, the installation on my windshield was very easy and it was simple to find the proper placement of the dashcam to ensure that my recordings included the maximum information of all my trips. The ability to remove the dashcam when not driving is a great benefit and with the power being supplied to the attached base it is a huge plus and very convenient. The recordings are high resolution and the ability to attach a rear camera by just clipping it into the dashcam without any extra installation is a plus. I also enjoy the recordings having my exact speed and location on the map. I've added a rear camera and the picture quality has remained high. Adding the rear was extremely easy to do and it's a secure fit. The smartphone application that goes with the dashcam makes it easy to transfer files and watch the selected recording. All in all this was a great investment that adds a non biased recording of all events, with all critical information, for that "just in case" event. It is the perfect addition to my new car, and to any person's car that wants an added set of eyes.

I bought this because of great reviews and great features. The camera is outstanding compared to the dated model it replaced. However, the night view could be vastly improved. Headlight glare and reflection completely washout the image making the footage entirely useless, if it is needed to be viewed.Daytime view is crystal clear and the audio is very clear as well, this goes for both front and rear cameras.The app is where the disappointment truly begins. It is very glitchy on iOS with many crashes, freezes and needed reboots. Even after paired with the camera it has sometimes ‘forgotten’ my camera and I needed to reset. The Alexa feature (422gw that I bought for my wife) will not work no matter how many times we try and follow install instructions exactly. The SOS feature seems to work but is also a paid subscription.The card. I tried two separate and pricey micro SD cards that met every single one of Nextbase’s particular requirements, to no avail. The camera would not do anything but show a “replace SD card with quality U3 SD card” message (both of mine were U3, 64gb, c10, etc.). I finally had to cave and by Nextbase’s own branded SD card and magically the camera worked as expected.

The camera video quality is nice but the app is completely non-functional for retrieving videos. I have to reinstall the app from time to time because it just hangs. Once reinstalled it connects to camera but will never stay connected to WiFi long enough to retrieve videos. The connection just goes up and down even if not connected to CarPlay. Good news is, videos are easily retrievable from the SD card via your computer. Trash the app and focus on cameras. We have both front and rear cam on 2 vehicles and the videos are really good. Install was easy (one self installed and one professional). If you want to use with your phone then go somewhere else but if you want a good quality camera where you can retrieve from the card via your computer then this is a good choice.
