D'Addario NS Lite Classical Guitar Capo, Black

I've seen similar, or even exactly the same product, for double or triple the price. I really can't understand how much more can be improved from something as simple as this. This capo is exactly what I needed after experimenting with some others that had fixed springs where I could not adjust the tension. This one allows me to apply the exact amount of tension to sound out the nodes without altering the pitch. This capo also is specifically flat, designed for fretboards without curvature, so that all strings will get the same amount of pressure. For the price and what this thing does, this is an excellent purchase for me. Totally a recommendation.

Favorite capo. Very compact, light, easy to use, adjustable. Bought one, then bought two more.

Super light weight, easy to use and adjust. Purchased for my flamenco guitar and it's perfect. This model works perfectly, I'm unsure why you would need to consider a more expensive model or version unless you really want extra weight

Crumbled apart after 3 uses about 10 minutes of play each. Wasn't strong enough. Saw some decent reviews and it looked relatively simple but I knew there was some sort of mechanical element to this capo since the spring that creates the tension wasn't visible. I was trying to move away from the clunky but tried and true spring clamp regular old guitar capo and this looked pretty sleek. It crumbled apart being made of lame weak plastic. Too brittle and fiddly with whatever spring contraption they have housed inside. Spring mechanism failed. Trying to tighten the capo caused the brittle plastic to crumble, stay away!!

Low quality screw leaves me wanting something else.

This capo works pretty good on my nylon string as I notice that it stays in tune better when I capo around the frets, however I don't think it works as well on my steel string. So I basically take both capos to my gigs as I play both a nylon and steel string on stage.

Looked like just what I needed but unfortunately didn’t fit my Ukulele. Great pity because the size is great however the friend I gave it to is wrapped. Fits her guitar perfectly.

Pedí dos de estos, ya había utilizado varios de la marca y duran bastante sin problemas. Estos funcionan bien, la cosa es que al parecer son para guitarra clásica (tiene el diapasón más extendido y el brazo distinto) ya no los regresé por que igual al acomodarlos los puedo utilizar con algunas guitarras y pues ya sin mayor problema, me dejé llevar por el precio pero bueno, igual funcionan bien. Con los otros que he tenido pasan bastantes años hasta que ya se quedan marcadas las cuerdas (aprox. 4 o 5) muy recomendables, solo a la próxima checaré cual es el modelo adecuado ya que no sabía que hubiera modelos distintos para diferentes perfiles del brazo de la guitarra XD

This is a very, very light weight capo and yet the build quality is superb. It is made of moulded ABS plastic. The way you use this type of capos is you increase the tension carefully and gradually by tightening the knob until none of the strings are buzzing. That way you don’t break the capo.
