One of the Best Cabin Filters on the market.
One of the best cabin filtration filters you can buy. Very quick delivery and more than fair price offered. So good I bought a second one for future replacement.

Filter dimensions oversize by about 1/4 inch all around
2002 Sable LS: This Bosch filter was slightly larger than the dirty Fram CF8109A I took out. I took it out twice because I had to force it and slightly kink the pleats to keep it flat. Thinking I'm doing something wrong, placed back to back to the old Fram, the Bosch is a little bigger. First time I used a Bosch for this car, will be the last. It is a nice well made filter, but a simple job turned into a time waster. I've changed this filter many times, biggest pain is getting the clips off the cowl without losing them.

Bad fitment in 2003 Mercury Sable - reasons
Bought this as only HEPA filter that fits my 2006 Sable given NCAL fire and smoke issues (other brand that sold HEPA did not make one for this model. Noted that prior unit had sturdier frame sponge seal and was about 1/4" thinner that this unit [picture looking down along edge]. Old unit was fairly plugged but clean on downflow side. The only way that I could get this unit into housing lip was with an inward bow on the short edge [See Picture] . I don't trust the seal given the bow. I installed anyway as old one was plugged. I will probably check this one at some point to see if downwind side has some dirt to make sure it is sealing - otherwise the whole concept of HEPA filtration is useless. Wish I could have found a different brand with HEPA filtration. Bosch should have improved this design by [1] better fitment [2] sturdier frame making tight install easier [3] edge seal.

Didn’t fit 2001 Ford Taurus
It was a little too big for the housing. I could force it in. Causing it to bend inwards and leaving the vent slightly exposed. But I wouldn’t be able to slip the black plastic cover over it because the filter is too tall. I checked the part number and it matches. I was disappointed as I was looking forward to using my first HEPA Cabin Air Filter. I ended up just throwing it away and buying a regular one from Autozone.
