Learning Resources New Sprouts Fresh Fruit Salad Set

This item is perfect for toddlers learning their fruits! I got this for my daughter who is 2 and my son who is 1 and my daughter looooves the apple and nana! LOL the little basket is so cute and is great for playing pretend ! The fruits are sturdy but soft enough in case they are bitten kinda like bath toys :) they are awesome!

Granddaughter loved it

***Update: This set still looks nearly brand new nearly 6 years later! Still love this brand and my kids still play with it often. Can't recommend this line enough! I researched a ton of play food brands before I decided on Learning Resources New Sprouts. It seems like wooden play food is en vogue currently, but I was looking for something more like my Fisher Price food sets from the '80s. The New Sprouts line is fantastic. As many other reviewers have noted, the type of plastic they use is wonderful. It's soft and flexible but durable and withstands a lot of overly enthusiastic pretend chewing :). The details on the food are adorable and the scale of the foods and kitchenware are perfect for little ones. I also like that the colors are bright without being too obnoxious and are gender-neutral. I love this set. The fruit is so cute and we use these bowls all the time. We have four of these food sets now and I have no regrets.

Another hit from Learning Resources! The watermelon bowl is absolutely adorable. Nice variety and quantity of fruit. The fruit completely fills the bowl. You can also add fruit from the other learning resources sets. We own probably 10 or more different learning resources food sets so we have cantaloupe slices, grapefruit halves, several berry varieties, etc all the that look and feel real and make great addition she to "fruit salad". The more sets you own, the more combinations you have!

This is the first set I got from this brand and I was blown away! The quality of the materials, realism, and durability can’t be beat. My son and daughter loved this so much we got nearly every set they made!

I spent a while researching pretend food for my 21 month olds new play kitchen. I finally decided on these and am thrilled with them. They have great detail, aren’t flimsy, are a nice compact size, and are very realistic. The bushels are perfect for storing and display. I do agree with some reviews where they have a smell when you open them but the smell is no different than other toys. I aired them out overnight and washed them with a antibacterial wipe (instructions say damp cloth) and the smell is slowly disappearing. It isn’t strong or awful though, so I have no concern that it will linger. Very happy with these and will soon by the breakfast / lunch / dinner and other speciality sets.

I got it on sale. The pieces are sturdy, and the colors are bright. However, even on sale, the price-to-quantity ratio is considerably higher compared to the Farmer’s Market Color Sorting set by the same company, which also offers greater educational value

Firstly I was surprised about the material. It's thick and almost has a soft feel to it but not squishy soft. It's hard and thick so that it doesn't dent like other cheaply made thin plastic play food. This play food will last a long time. My only complaint would be that the fruits have a small hole in them and are partially hollow allowing water in them. If your child likes to wash it or generally play in the water with it, like mine, it could be a bad thing allowing for the growth of mold in it like the rubber ducks with holes. However, for me it's a minor inconvenience to have to plug up the holes with a hot glue gun. All in all, I am extremely happy with this product and would highly recommend it for kiddos.

👍🏼

Muy lindos. Buen material.
