Nalgene HDPE Wide Mouth Round Container

A nice bottle...full gallon. very sturdy...simple n clean looking...very secure sturdy screw on cap...from Nalgene...like!...buy buy buy they could have made one just like it but crystal clear... that'd be nice too....over all good to go!Also i noticed a very mild perfume or fragrance like sent coming from this jar... not really sure whats up with that but everything seems ok so far...need one get one!

This review in particular is for the teeny, one ounce size of Nalgene bottle. What makes this so good for the camp kitchen?* Nalgene bottles are made from non-reactive HPDE (Type 2) plastic that will not impart flavor or odor to your food or leach chemicals into them.* The caps seal so well on the bottles as to make them virtually leak-proof. This is a big deal when you are backpacking, or even car camping - you don't want your food or liquids spilling out into the rest of your gear.* These bottles are tough. I've been using some of mine for almost 30 years now, and none have ever failed, broken, or leaked. While light, they are reasonably thick walled and can take a fair amount of abuse.* In my opinion, these are the best lightweight containers on the market. Who wants to take a partially-filled glass bottle of olive oil for cooking with them in their backpack? Get the right size of container that you want for your cooking liquids: soy sauce, oil, maple syrup, etc. and pack them with confidence. Not so much an issue with car camping, but if you are packing gear in on your back, these light and durable containers are the way to go.* Versatility - pick the size that's right for your need. When you are done, they can be cleaned and re-used for anything else.The tiny 1 oz. size works well for me when I want to bring along salt/pepper, garlic powder, or other powdered seasoning. It also works very well as a waterproof container for matches. Larger sizes work well for olive oil, maple syrup, etc. I even use slightly larger sizes, such as the 8 oz. size, for dry goods like rice or pancake mix. Some things lend themselves to small 'zip-lock' baggies, but for anything else, I use these. An additional bonus is that these will last practically forever if you take care of them, reducing the amount of trash produced from packaging.Highly recommended!

Beautifully made! I use it to bring milk for my lunch. It never retains off-flavors or scents - of spoiled milk, for instance; or of soap or detergent. It has almost zero “plasticky” scent. Also the screw top seals reliably without needing to “crank” it tight. No more wet lunchbox! Seems to be a beautifully engineered product.

These never leak

It's a non-issue since I didn't need it but the item did not come with the lid.Inconsequential for my purposes as this is going to be used without but just wanted to make it known. i would have to contact nalgene support and frankly I didn't want to go through the trouble for a piece that was extra to me anyway. Everything else was good however

These bottles are great for traveling with liquids. My daughter no longer drinks out of baby bottles or sippy cups and uses an open cup at the babysitter. I needed a bottle that was easy to clean and simple enough to travel, pour, clean, and store. No more narrow brushes to clean rubber mouth pieces or nasty junk hiding behind rubber rings on the lids. Our family owns Nalgene bottles of all sizes, this is a durable and high quality bottle that will last a long time!

Fits in my pants pockets. Opens and seals well and washes and dries clean.

This is a great product. I already have one and bought another one because this company Forza Sports could not find the time to mail this to me.12 days and counting. They already met the first time span and added more time. I tried to cancel to save them the hassle of dealing it it again when I return it, because I had to buy another one from some other more trusting company.Their rating is fixed just like the last several elections.Finally came today 14 days after purchase. It was bought from Forza Sports in Pa. I live in Ohio. I was beginning to think I had bought something from China because it took so long to get here. In matter of fact I just checked to make sure this was made in the USA.Also the series of pictures in the sales add is 2 different drink bottles. I bought this thinking that the lid was attached to the bottle like the other one I have and the one they show but it is not!!!I need to figure out where to rate this terrible company and give them a ZERO rating.
