You put the plastic bullet in the barrel end and it clicks in place, then you pull the trigger it fires. It's made of a very flimsy plastic and our bullets didn't last that long and at all. It's not worth even $1, nonetheless $6. The baton is no bigger than a pencil and feels like it'll break as soon as it's touched. The badge doesn't have a clip on the back. Two of the three bullets doesn't click into the gun, therefore won't shoot. The whistle is small enough for a mouse's mouth. The packaging says it's for ages 8+, yet it's all sized to fit a newborn's hands.
