A very needful and thought provoking book. Still processing its message and how to apply it in a post modern world. Particularly how "Empire" has shaped theology/ Christology rather than the other way around and how that is reflected in today's Theological discourse. Excellent book!

This is an unusual book that brings up the connection between Christianity and the powers of the world and how theology is intertwined with the powers of the world. Not an easy read, a bit boring and some of the people explored are not well-known. I find its general thesis to be accurate.
