There are times when a particular USB port on a PC can be downright hard to reach. These little 90 degree adapters can be a real help when needed. I use these on a few different PCs. The one that needed this the most is the rear port on the little Acute Angle Mini PC. This little PC only has a single rear USB 3.0 port. You almost need to be a contortionist to plug anything into the rear port. This adapter is no easier to plug into the rear port but you only need to go through the hassle once. Once this adapter is in place all USB peripherals are easy to plug in. For this particular PC, I plug in a 4 port USB 3.0 hub and leave it plugged in. Another benefit to these is once installed, there is no more wear on the PCs USB port. It's uncommon but there is always a risk of ruining a USB port while trying to plug something in. I've done it and I doubt I'm alone in this. If you ruin the female port on an adapter it's very cheap to replace. If you ruin a USB port on your PC it will be both difficult and expensive to replace. This is a very small amount to spend for a great deal of protection.

Save room in tight spots

Resin printing is smelly, no doubt, so one of my first projects was to build an enclosure that can be vented to the outside. It was a tight fit for the washing/curing station and the printer but I made it work. I used a USB extension cable from the inside of the enclosure to connect the USB stick. The cable was a bit too bent for my taste so I searched for an L-adapter. I then decided to get a bit fancier and replace the USB extension with one that is usually used in automotive or marine vehicles (one that can be snapped into a console). I then used a second one of these adapters for the outside so that the stick doesn't poke out horizontally and is at risk of being torn out. The adapters fit tightly and it's even a bit tricky to get the stick unplugged, but better than it being too loose and it falling out.

These adapters do just what you would expect them to do. They change the direction of the female usb input 90 degrees. They can also be plugged into each other so the direction can be changed 180 degrees which is how I used them to direct usb ports located on the front of my desktop to the rear. Just be aware, in the packet of 6 adapters 3 are configured to change the direction one way, like to the right, while the other 3 change it in opposite direction, like to the left.

The product is well made, but it isn't stable at the connection to the computer. When plugging a USB cable into the adapter it will move toward the opposite direction. I have to hold the adapter steady while connecting the USB cable to it.
