Boof-e koor (The Blind Owl) is Sadegh Hedayat's magnum opus and a major literary work of 20th century Iran. Written in Persian, it tells the story of an unnamed pen case painter, the narrator, who sees in his macabre, feverish nightmares that "the presence of death annihilates all that is imaginary. We are the offspring of death and death delivers us from the tantalizing, fraudulent attractions of life; it is death that beckons us from the depths of life. If at times we come to a halt, we do so to hear the call of death... Throughout our lives, the finger of death points at us." The narrator addresses his murderous confessions to the shadow on his wall resembling an owl. His confessions do not follow a linear progression of events and often repeat and layer themselves thematically, thus lending to the open-ended nature of interpretation of the story. Printed Backwards
In Persian, the text is written from right to left and likewise books start on the right and progress to the left. This book is published backwards. Word to Amazon, if you are going to print books in their native language, learn a little about their language and culture before you get into it.

As others have stated, this is printed backwards and there are tons of mistakes
I really appreciate that someone has printed Hedayat's books in North America, but hire a proof reader for Christ's sake. Every book from this independent publisher is abound with typos, punctuation errors and misspelt words. Please hit me up Createspace Independent Publishing Platform, I will proofread your books myself if necessary.

Poorly printed. The binding is left to right which is completely incorrect as Persian reads right to left.

Incomprehensible due to errors.
It has not only many spelling mistakes but there are many words that are obviously nonsensical. The book is written from left to right which is opposite of Persian books which are from right to left as in Farsi we write from right to left. On the back cover has the highlight of the book written in English when the book is written in Farsi. This book gives the appearance of having been translated back from an English version into Farsi by an incompetent translator or an AI.
