6 Pack Neon Glowing Strobing Electroluminescent Wire/El Wire(Blue, Green, Red, Pink, Purple, White) + 3 Modes Battery Controllers

These are exactly as advertised. All 6 work perfect. Had trouble with the white one but it only required straightening one of the pins in the connection for the control box. Apparently it was bent during manufacture. Works perfect now. I ordered a second set as I need 10 total. By far the best deal I found. I did notice the hum but only when I put the controller next to my ear. My kids could hear it from across the room though. So I would say age and use could be a factor for the sound. As others have stated this noise is true for any manufactures EL wire controller, unless you're willing to spend much more money ($100 for ten 3 foot pieces of EL and two controllers) for a novelty such as this. For my use (drone obstacles) these work very well and cost much less. Each obstacle has it's own power supply making them completely portable. They are bright but not so bright that they are blinding while flying in FPV like the led's I tried. Well worth the money in my opinion.

All 6 worked fine right out of the zip-lock packaging. As others have posted, they make a slight high-pitched whine, but it is very minimal and only noticeable up-close in a quiet room. Any amount of ambient noise will easily cover the whine. They come with a pretty standard controller which holds 2 AA batteries (not included) and has a connector to the wire itself, so you could swap out a controller if one goes bad. Color is bright and steady. Controller has 3 modes, steady on, slow blink and fast blink. This product is a miracle of modern production methods and logistics. I honestly have no idea how they're making money off these at this price point.As I just received them, I have no idea how long they'll last. I'll try to remember to update this review if they prove to be unreliable.

This package is a great value for the price, however there were a couple of things that made me give this 4 stars instead of 5. I had bought these to make my own neon sign and when combined with some clear tape and wire, I did achieve my purpose. The pros: Nice bright colors, very flexible to shape, with some velcro and/or command strips, the battery pack can easily hold up onto anything. The cons: battery life does not last long, brightness dims as batteries wear down. The reason I think this product is good and not great is because of how long the battery lasts to get that bright neon colors to pop. I do like this product though, and I would purchase again if I had another craft in mind.

My friends and I had an amazing time with these little guys. I highly recommend them. They are easy to wear or play with. We had a good game of jump rope going. I want to buy more. I hope I can get a larger pack, as we were so busy playing with these, we didn't use any to decorate the environment. I'd like to get a metric ton and put them everywhere. They all were really bright and colorful and I dragged all the battery packs up five flights of stairs, clanking clamorously behind me along with a chain leash I was wearing, and they took that beating like the champion LEDs that they are. I highly recommend these things for clam bakes, raves, festivals, camping trips, and really all kinds of trips (wink, wink ;)

Very neat product. However, it has quality control issues. One of our 6 devices failed to work straight out of the package. Same cord lights when plugged into another battery device so suspect this is a problem with the switch on the power supply. As a result we have some concern with how durable the device will be.

Exactly what I was looking for. The colors are great and the small battery pack is easy to place where needed and includes a clip to attach to belt or clothing. Can also be zip tied if needed. The variable modes for steady or flash are a good addition. Very happy with my purchase.

The lights emit a high pitched buzz/sound the whole time they are on. If in a quiet environment it's quite annoying. Since my original review all the lights have stopped working to various degrees. A couple have completely stopped working, others have dimmed to a point where you can barely tell they are on, and the rest have a bunch of dead spots that don't light up.

Most of the strings were defective. The ones that did work only worked for Halloween night. I imagine if they were used in a stable non moving area they may work better but they were just ok. I tried swapping battery packs and nothing worked. Oh, if you wear these in a mask they make a high pitch noise that can cause a headache.
