It definitely works. Smells when applying so be aware of that - but it was simple, put car in the sun and no more spreading of the windshield crack. I would recommend.

The Rain-X Windshield Repair Kit did exactly what I needed it to do for a chip I got in my car windshield, especially considering the timing. I used this kit to deal with a small star chip, and I was particularly concerned about it spreading during the cold winter months. I'm happy to report that the kit performed very well in stopping the damage from spreading. Since applying the resin, the chip has remained stable, preventing it from turning into a long, dangerous crack, which is a huge relief and definitely the most important job this kit had. The Reality Check: Now, for expectations: while it stabilized the chip, it's important to understand that the crack is not gone and the spot is not completely invisible. You can still see the repaired area when you look closely. It's not a magic eraser that makes the glass flawless again, but it greatly minimizes the visibility and, crucially, reinforces the area. Summary: If you have a small chip or starburst and your main goal is to prevent it from spreading and turning into an expensive replacement job, this Rain-X kit is a great, reliable, and quick solution. It was a worthwhile investment that saved my windshield from getting worse during the winter. Just remember that it’s a repair, not an un-do button!

This stuff is the bomb!!! Just take your time and go slow as you can, clean the area as soon as you can, and as best as you can, slowly add the resin, put on the curing strips in the within 10 or so minutes it was dry enough to remove the curing strips and scrape off the excess resin. The crack is just barely noticeable in one small area. I highly recommended it. I purchased another one just to have one on hand. It works extremely well, again just take your time. Follow the instructions will be. Glad you bought it!

This works but didnt get the full Crack sealed. I think this is fine as is but depending on your Crack you might be better off getting a tech to work on it. The included accessories are nice but it also seems like a one time use as the sealant doesnt seem to last over a week.

Like I said you might have to use it for times to help but it did stop the spread

I grabbed this for my old SUV because paying the glass shop every time a rock hits the windshield gets old fast. Used it on a chip on the passenger side, about the size of a dime, from a weekend soccer run with the kids. The instructions are simple enough if you read them once before starting. i liked that the resin actually filled the little star lines so they barely catch the light now. I just parked in the garage, set up the little applicator, and gave it time to cure. It will not make a crack disappear like magic, but for small chips it works well and keeps me from scheduling another repair visit.

First time repair. Purchased this and the Loctite 37613 for two different cars to try to figure how well these products work in repairing a windshield. Because this product is advertised as more versatile and be used multiple times, It even can be used to fill long cracks. I decided to use this on a car that had 4 different breaks. The main windshield crack was a bulls-eye type ~ 1/2 to 3/4 inch diameter. From it, emanated three long (10 to 18 inches) cracks. In addition, the there were three more small star breaks < 3/8ths of an inch. The product was able to 85% fill the large bulls-eye crack after two attempts - i.e. repeating steps 4/5 in the instructions. Crack filling is recommended for cracks less than 12 inches long - we pushed this limit. Filling the long cracks is an art and less science. I placed adhesive along the crack line and pushed from the outside with a golf tee on each side of the crack to help the capillary action filling. In addition to pushed on the windshield from the inside along the crack. A lot of work, but it filled more than 75%. When using the product, it is hard to see filled vs. non- filled sections of a long crack. After completing this process. I added a small amount of adhesive to the pit and covered the bulls-eye break with the included plastic sheets. I also covered the long cracks using up all the sheets. These were left to cure in the sun for 35 minutes. Then the work began since the next step requires scraping off the cured adhesive from the windshield. (Next time - use less adhesive under the smoothing plastic sheets) For a bulls-eye break only, this would have been easy. RESULT: A smooth windshield - pits are all filled, 85% filled crack - could have used a hair dryer to get better results according to the instructions. And 60% filled long cracks - should not expect much better unless this repair is your day job. NOTE: It is not always easy to see if cracks are filled during the repair process. A high intensity LED flashlight is pretty good from the inside of the car. After filling 3 additional star breaks at 90% or better, I am reasonably happy with this product. I would buy it again. FYI, this product is modeled after the Novus Windshield Repair system which has always provided a good product. Patents expired long ago.

I had 2 dings on my front windshield, one with a little longer hairline cracks than the other. After getting quotes via yelp, reading reviews, and looking at before/after pictures, I decided to just DIY it myself. Getting it done by a business doesn’t guarantee that the dings will become invisible, just that it won’t further crack, so I figured then I might as well do it myself. This was easy to use and it worked great for the smaller ding. The one with more of a crack didn’t disappear completely but I can live with it and has not cracked any further. As long as you’re ok with your dings being slightly visible as a possibility, I think this would work fine

leggere e seguire alla lettera le istruzioni anche se in inglese ci sono le figure e sono facili da capire ma devi seguire passo passo e devo dire che ho risparmiato un bel po ottenendo lo stesso risultato dei piu illustri riparatori di parabrezza al prezzo di una pizza e birra con tro le 100 e piu euro chieste da altri. che dire soddisfattissimo grazie

I have fixed about 3 X windscreens with this tool kit. I have been able to remove 95-99% of stone chips which have been rather quite large. Used this product which was easy to use and satisfying to see the end results. It's a great feeling when avoiding a massive $$$ replacement bill for a new windscreen
