Lansky Super "C" Clamp

This tool is incredibly effective and of high quality. It’s incredibly easy to use and will securely hold on most workbenches. The blade holder is a bit tight out of the box, but it loosens with the first few uses.

I really feel like this is a must-have, if you have the Lansky sharping kit. I did use the sharpening kit before without the clamp and you can certainly do it, but this makes it a heck of a lot easier. It seems to be well made, it holds the sharpening kit Holder well and really just makes it a lot easier. I'm finding that I'm able to sharpen the knives and a fraction of the time when compared to holding all of the pieces before with my two hands. Really is something I wish I would have purchased before.

I, like others have had a Lansky kit for quite a while. I got by with it. Then I saw this clamp mount and even while I was a bit apprehensive, I got it. I assembled it first off and noticed, since the finish on the clamp is like a heavy bead blast, that the threaded rod went in tight. This is ok as it is a one time assembly for me. But when I tried to used the guide assembly ton the top knob, it would not seat entirely. I used it once this way but finally figured out a remedy. I put some diamond paste on both parts and lapped them in. Wow, it fits perfectly now and is a dream to use. I always hold the rod up at the back to keep it steady. Additionally, all of the rods needed to be straightened out but that was easy. Just saying some things are kinda sloppy and could be addressed prior to shipping. Now I really look forward to using the system and it makes things easier. YMMV

About two years ago I put my Lansky system in my closet and hadn't touched it since. I got tired of holding my knife and guide system in one hand and using the rod/stone in the other. I was not getting the results I wanted on my knives. I put some time into learning how to sharpen with a ceramic stone by eye and can say I can get a razor sharp edge with no guide. This took time and lots of practice to be able to keep the knife at the same angle both directions. So the other day I saw this clamp system in my local store and it peeked my interest since I make custom knives and I am constantly sharpening them and my friends knives. I ordered from Amazon and put it to use the first day it arrived. I can say that having the guide system attached to this clamp made all the difference in the world with the Lansky system. Even though I can do it by hand now, I like this for putting my first edge on my hand made knives. Instead of eying it, I can say the edge has been set at a --- angle to whoever I sell the knife too. My first fear was seeing how small the "knob" was where the guide system sits. I thought it might pop off while sharpening. And the thought of my knife falling onto my leg or foot kept running thought my head. So far so good, but I would still like to see a better or more secure way to attach it. I know it is meant to be able to pull off quick and flip the system over to do the other side of the blade, but there has to be something that can secure it and still have the quick disconnect. Other than that, it is a great system if you have or are going to buy a Lansky.

Finally have this holder been wanting one for ever makes sharpening all that much easier

Good well made product. Makes holding the knife clamp much easier and steady. Wish I would have found it years ago. My order was actually through “Kris Mon Stealth Rabbit “ . Amazing service. I ordered late on Wednesday the day prior to thanksgiving and received it on Friday the day after thanksgiving ! They obviously appreciate the business and get right to it. I had to double check to insure that I hadn’t checked the expedited delivery box. (I hadn’t). It was the normal free Prime service. I’ll definitely be keeping them in mind when ordering any similar things.
