Great all around pedal for any bike
Using these for a road bike First impressions are very good. Solid, light and tons of grip with the studs on the pedals. With the added benefit of them being replaceable is great in case they get worn out. I would recommend not using flat shoes or worn out shoes as these spikes are sharp which could wear out the shoe even more or potentially punch a hole through the sole. As a caution, be careful when taking the bike out of a car because they will scrape paint past clear coat. Cost: Reasonable (8/10) Durability: 9/10 (again using it for road bike not BMX or mountain so use will vary) Style/look: 8/10 Smoothness: 8/10 Other comments - Light nylon construction with sealed bearing is great Would recommend to anyone who is looking to upgrade from stock pedals Would recommend

Great product... sharp threads.
I can't speak to how these work on "any" bike, but for the Ozark Trail G.1 Explorer, these are a huge upgrade. The only issue I've had with them so far (after less than 100 miles of use) is that the design uses long cap head screws to act as grip studs for traction. Don't get me wrong, they work exceptionally well for their intended purpose, but the end of the screws look like they're straight from the factory and not rounded over or chamfered to save your shins from the sharp end of the thread. I've been cut twice just from grazing the pedals while mounting/dismounting and moving the bike around at home. Overall, this is a good-looking product that performs very well at a reasonable price. It's very easy to install and absolutely locks your shoe to the bike when pedalling. I just wish they didn't make the back of my calf look like a cat attacked me when I'm having a clumsy day. If you buy these, be sure to hit the tip of those screws with a file or a bit of sand paper before installation to prevent nicks and cuts in the future.

Great quality, great price!
These are the only pedals that I use. They never let me down and last a long time.

Awesome pedals
Great pedals, awesome color, nice grip, and easy to install. These weren’t much bigger than the factory pedals on my XS Trek Roscoe 7 which is what I was hoping for. I have a small foot (size 7US men’s) and these aren’t too big.

Nice flat pedals. Great brand!
Best flat pedal out there. High quality, lightweight, durable after many pedal strikes. Easy to install with a pedal wrench or Allen key. Smooth bearings. The original! If you want piece of mind get the name brand!

Great for someone who wants decent traction but isn’t ready to commit to metal pins.
Built on the classic Raceface Chester pedals these deliver a mix decent grip, light weight, nice bearings and spindle with out the scary metal pins. I’ve ridden Raceface Chester which have better grip but my kids are concerned about hitting the metal pins so I was glad to see that Raceface offered the Ride pedal as an option. We tried some trail pedals from Look but they were much heavier and the Vibram platform was slippery if you got dust on your shoes. The Ride pedals provide plenty of grip and fun colors to accent your bike. These are now our goto family pedal.

Take some getting used to
I started riding mountain bikes in the early '90s; that meant my first mountain bike had metal "beartrap" pedals, but by the mid-'90s, I was on a new mountain bike with SPD clipless pedals. By the early '20s my mountain bike was parked in the corner of the garage while I focused on road riding, again with clipless pedals. Fast forward to now and I decided to dust off my mid-'90s mountain bike and thought it would be a good idea to swap out the clipless pedals for flat pedals since this seems to be the new norm for most of the mountain bikes I see in my area. I went with these because Raceface is a brand I know and trust and I also like the idea of a nylon rather than metal pedal, not so much for weight but for them being potentially easier on my chins. The pedals look great and are well-made. They went on my bike very easily, so I took them out for a maiden ride. They take some getting used to. The platform is much larger than an SPD pedal, or even the old beartraps from days long gone. They offer a really solid platform for pedaling that is slip-resistant and seemingly flex-free. They work as well as any flat pedal should. What takes some getting used to is that you really can't pull up with power in the same way you can with an SPD pedal, so I have been trying to get used to not having that extra power. They are convenient since I don't have to wear my SPD clipless shoes. I think they do a very good job if you are looking for a flat pedal. I can see the benefit for technical trail riding, where you want to be able to put a foot down easily but the jury is still out as to whether I will keep them on all the time or swap them for the old SPDs again. Bottom line; if you are looking for flat pedals at a reasonable price then these should be at the top of your list.

Great quality and worthwhile upgrade
Just installed these. Used a 15 mm open end wrench. Left pedal is "lefty tighty" (reverse thread). Right pedal is righty tighty. Both pedals have a very small letter on them indicating L and R. (Can also tell which is which because you want the forward slant/bevel of the pedals going upward on each side) The build quality feels very good. Packaging is very good. Studs feel excellent under foot. The overall size of the pedals fit my US size 12 shoes. 2-yr warranty and made in Taiwan (designed in Canada). I have an old ZED K2 Sport MTN bike, nothing fancy at all. Just had a tune up and new brakes recently. Thought I would try a small upgrade, and these delivered a very noticeable improvement over the stock pedals. Pedaling is much easier and the stud grip is outstanding. Bought on sale April 2025, but easily would have been worth full price.

Good pedals, very easy to fit on my bike. They're nice and big (I have massive size 12 flippers) and the grip is good without the risk of flaying your shins when you hit them.

I have two pairs of Chester pedals and have ordered a third. They are just the right size for my foot and their concave shape grips the sole of my shoes perfectly. I've never slipped.
