Washing Machine Cleaner with Odor Blasters, 4 Count

I was starting to get that musty “wet towel” smell from my washing machine even after running regular clean cycles, and these OxiClean washing machine cleaner tablets made a noticeable difference after the first use. Super easy to use — just toss a tablet in and run the cleaning cycle or a hot water cycle. It helped remove the odor and left the inside of the washer smelling clean instead of covering the smell up temporarily. I also noticed less buildup around the drum and detergent area afterward. Great for maintaining both front-load and top-load washers, especially if you do a lot of laundry or leave clothes sitting occasionally. Definitely something worth using regularly to keep the washer fresh and prevent odors from coming back.

If you have a stinky washing machine and/or if you feel like your clothes aren't smelling fresh after they're washed, buy this product because it fixes that. Some comments re: the folks giving this a low rating because: 1) The product clumps in your HE washer's liquid detergent dispenser - Well, per Step 2 on the package (see my photo), this is a powder cleaner that is supposed to be dumped directly into the drum. Don't worry about it falling into the little holes. It's gonna be okay; it's gonna do what it was designed to do. If you put it in your HE washer's liquid dispenser, you didn't follow the instructions, & it's gonna clump up and not work as advertised. 2) The product's odor - well, the drain pipe on my HE washer smelled like raw sewage (wife's words) when I started a wash cycle. I thought a "washer cleaner" was a little silly (aren't I cleaning it every time I run a load of wash?), but I have seen the light. After several years of use and literally hundreds (if not 1000+) of washes, the drain pipe smelled like rotten eggs and my wife wanted to call a plumber because the smell was so bad she thought our house's drain was backed up. I do the laundry in the house, and I'm cheap, so I thought I'd try a cleaner first, and this OxiClean cleaner resolved the odor AFTER ONE TREATMENT. I use dye- and odor-free detergent, so I'm not a total fan of its fragrance (side note: do y'all who use detergent with scents actually LIKE smelling like Gain or Tide all day, like it's some sort of cologne/perfume? This confuses and fascinates me, but I digress...), but it goes away after a wash or two. My washer no longer smells like sewage, and we didn't have to hire a plumber, so I'm grateful for an inexpensive and effective fix. My washer stopped smelling like American politics after I used this product. In fact, it went to having no odor at all, which is what I wanted. I followed the instructions and used it once/week for 3 weeks just to ensure I truly got all of the stank out, and I believe I have, so I'm thrilled. Not sure a once/month cleaning is necessary, since I went years without cleaning my washer, and because I'm cheap, but I think I'll probably use this seasonly/quarterly to prevent "THE SMELL" from returning to home. If you finish reading this review and still put this powder cleaner in your liquid dispenser, you should run for office because you'll likely win... but I won't vote for ya.

My washing machine has never been cleaner since I started using this product! The process couldn't be easier—you just toss in one simple tab once a month. It suds up incredibly well during the cycle, and it is honestly very satisfying to watch it work through the glass door, knowing it is lifting away built-up grime. After the cycle finishes, the inside of the drum looks completely shiny and clean. Best of all, it leaves behind a great, fresh smell that gets rid of any lingering damp odors. It is a small monthly step that makes a huge difference. Highly recommend!

Not much to overcomplicate here, this product simply works. I used the OxiClean Washing Machine Cleaner with Odor Blasters and noticed a clear difference after running a cycle. The machine smelled noticeably fresher afterward and had that clean, “just washed” scent instead of any lingering odors. It was easy to use, just a quick cycle and done, which makes it convenient for regular maintenance. Overall, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do and helps keep the washing machine feeling clean and refreshed. I’ll definitely keep using it as part of my routine maintenance.

Awesome stuff. I have an older top load washer and it came with a moldy smell. Didn't affect the clothes but it bothered me so I tried this stuff and it worked great. It's very effective n leaves no odor or residue. Easy to use just throw it in the washer. Clean washer again!!!

Great product. Instructions are easy to follow. This item had three cleaner packets inside. My first cleaning went well, great fresh, clean scent. That was a few days ago and my washer still looks and smells fantastic. I highly recommend this product.

This works better than Affresh. Easy to use, just open the packet and empty it into the tub (even on a FRONT loader). Don't put it in the dispenser. It removed all the residue from the gasket around the door and the very LIGHT scent lasts for a month. I saw reviews where they complain about a strong scent - I don't get it!!

While I am happy that the washer no longer smells the fragrance is so strong after using this our, clothes and the laundry room have this scent too. Cannot wait for it to wear out. As someone who get migraines, I would not recommend on the overbearing scent alone.

I believe this product is not useful! it has damaged my washing machine, leaving white marks.

Works really well. Being on a HTSP system, I am not able to use many machine cleaners, but this one is so easy to use.

Good deal n useful to clean

This is a great product to clean your washing machine, but I’ve given it 4* because actually, it works better when you hack the instructions on how to use it. It comes in a pack of multiple sachets. I’ve found the best way to use it is to empty the sachet directly into the drum. Start your machine and then when the water has pumped in, within a minute or so, and the powder has become wet and drained down into the actual machine, turn your machine off and leave the mixture in the base of the machine for 24 hours. This makes sure that it really gets to work on stubborn mould and mildew. Then, after 24 hours, start a normal cotton cycle at 40° with the drum empty. I then empty a sachet into the powder draw and do another empty drum wash at 40°. This washes through the pipes and this usually completely cleans the machine. I then get a cloth with white vinegar and wipe all over the inside of the drum, and 100% ALL of the door rubber. Every little nook and cranny, get your fingers right up into the seal with the cloth and give it a really good wipe, twice over. Always leave your machine door cracked open when empty for air circulation. This helps to stop the smell from coming back.
