Returning from a trip to India (and being rather ashamed that my Hindi was confined to Namaste and Dhanyavaad) I decided to have a bash at learning more. But I wanted to get a handle on Hindi Script too and this book looked just the ticket - pages and pages of characters to trace over and over until the shapes lodge in your muscle-memory. I say the sound out loud each time I write a character as well which helps. You are given permission to make photocopies of the tracing pages which is useful, but I’m finding that just going over the letters which I’ve already completed works too. It’s a really good book for learning the Devanagari. No frills - just put a towel over your head and crack on. Review: I want to refresh my hindi alphabet. - This is nice and very useful workbook.
