The adjustable shoe provides a stable cutting platform and can be adjusted to make bevel cuts up to 45 degrees. The new and improved Wire Guard provides a clear line of site for precise cuts from beginning to end. Cut without fatigue thanks to this saw’s compact handle with rubber over old and work clean with a built-in dust blower. For a broad range of precise cutting applications, look no further than the Smart Select Electric Jig Saw.

Review: Can’t Go Wrong w/ Black & Decker - Can never go wrong with Black & Decker. Very ease saw to use. Very simple blade loading. Nice grip
Review: Curve settings actually earn their keep - Picked this up to notch out plywood for garage shelving and it has handled everything since. The four curve settings actually matter, lowest orbital for laminate so the top layer does not chip, cranked up for rough cuts in framing lumber. Bevel lock at 45 works but you need a screwdriver to loosen the shoe, no tool free adjustment here. Blade changes are quick and it came with one general purpose blade, so order a mixed pack of wood and metal blades with it. Corded does not bother me since I only cut in the garage next to an outlet. The dust blower keeps the pencil line visible, which I did not expect at this price.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What blade type/model can you use? Is there a specific blade made for this jigsaw?**
A: it can use U and T blades,

**Q: does this come with blades, what is recommended?**
A: Comes with 1 blade. Black and Decker make a nice 15 piece set. Bosch are also excellent. Stick with T shank blades.

**Q: Will this be strong/accurate enough to cut the shape of a knife handled through a 2"x 10" x 1/2 inch think hard blog of jeans and fiberglass resin?**
A: i just used this saw to cut out a knife handle from a 1x4. i think it'll do the job.

**Q: Can you cut nails off of pallets?**
A: You can if you put a steel cutting blade in it. This would be a very fine tooth blade but I recommend you wear safety glasses when doing this and be careful and go slow

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy, gentle, yet powerful!
*by T***. on November 3, 2018*

I have never owned a jig saw before. I bought this to make a display for my husband's guitar and I knew it would come in use as I do a lot of furniture re-purpose projects. I did not want a large piece of equipment and wanted something safe to operate (I nearly cut my finger off while using a hedge trimmer.) I used this to cut both a large piece of wood and thinner border pieces. It cut through with no issue at all. My husband and I were both surprised at the ease of the cut and how simple it was to operate. I would trust my teenager with this tool. It is that safe and easy to use. I adjusted the speed to compare the performance. There is definitely a difference when you cut at a faster speed. The cut will be more jagged. But it cuts pretty fast, even at the slower speed. I still need to work on cutting straight. I highly recommend buying extra blades for different cuts. You will need them for smoother cuts.
