funny but helpful, you are not the only one out there! Shame it is based in America. Recommend it to all new sufferers just for the hell of it!

Purchased as a gift for a friend who now loves this cookbook. The book provides a range of recipes which even a beginner can try and easily follow along. My friend is very much a beginner cook so this was an easy yet perfect gift. I've not had the opportunity to sample any dishes yet though.

This book is more for the American market, the flours used are only obtainable there. They can probably be adapted for the UK and Irish markets but would need a lot of trial and error.. Better to buy one for the specific market.

Perfect quirky gift idea for a friend. I'm sure she will love it. Arrived quite quickly.

I purchased this item for my boss - it was a risky move because 1. there is a curse in the title, 2. she is gluten free for serious health reasons, and 3. we are librarians and have books a plentiful BUT I thought it was too good to pass by so I put it in a gift basket with some gluten free goodies and SHE LOVED IT. She spent most of the day in her office reading and laughing - she would come out periodically and read me passages. I've overheard her mentioning it and recommending it to others. It is an honest and lighthearted look on being gluten free along with recipes, etc. I recommend it. Only thing is the cover is 99% pure white and mine was scuffed during delivery but I wiped it lightly with a damp cloth and it looked good enough to gift.

Being ignorant of what celiacs go through I bought it to read for my grand daughter in law. It was so informative and so well written and funny that I not only laughed all the way through it, I learned so much and now know how to cook for her and NOT to cook for her. I highly recommend this book for anyone who has a friend or even an acquaintance who is gluten intolerant to read this and understand how serious this disease is and how dangerous. I got several copies as gifts for the family.

Die blauen Seiten sind Rezepte und die weißen Aufklärung, Geschichten usw. - also mehr Rezepte als ich ursprünglich erwartet habe, aberich bin zufrieden. (Siehe Verhältnis auf dem Foto) Angaben der Rezepte in amerikanischen Einheiten wie ounce, cups usw… Wenn das kein Problem ist, würde ich das Buch weiter empfehlen!

It is quite frankly hysterical! When I read the first chapter title, What To Do When You Are Pooping Your Pants, I almost spewed latte all over the local cafe. This is a book for Celiac's, people with gluten sensitivity or people that are friends/family of the same. Finally, a book that tells it like it is! I read passages out loud to a friend so that he could understand, through someone else, what it means to walk in the shoes of the gluten intolerant. Or should I say, run to the bathroom like the gluten intolerant? The chapter about eating out, again, was dead on. This book should be required reading for anyone that works in the food industry and is involved with food ordering or prep. Thank you April for sharing our story in an engaging and humorous way! PS. I haven't tried the recipes, though I like it that you included alcoholic treats; was very glad to learn that distillation kills the gluten in Bourbon and other spirits.

If you’re someone who is gluten free you’ll appreciate the humour, and if you’re buying this for someone else who is gluten free, they’ll definitely appreciate it. I know, because I am. I bought this for my sister, who is also celiac, but after a quick glance through the recipes bought one for myself as well. The humour alone is worth the price, so the fact it has great recipes makes it even better. At this price you cannot go wrong.
