Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, Exfoliating Face Wash for Brightening

I’m not an esthetician, but I do own a face 😝 and I can absolutely tell the difference between this and less expensive exfoliants with larger, rougher granules. The powder is incredibly fine and transforms into a creamy paste when mixed with water. That fine texture seems to polish my skin more evenly without making it feel like I’ve scrubbed my face with landscaping materials. After using it, my skin feels noticeably smoother, looks brighter, and makeup applies more evenly. Yes, it can be a bit pricey. My wallet and I discussed it and we decided great skin is worth it. You only need a small amount, the bottle lasts, and the results are consistently better than what I get from cheaper exfoliants. This is one of those products I will continue buying because it really is that good.

I was skeptical about this because I have had ineffective experiences with exfoliating products. I have the type of skin where I would need products that are coarse and abrasive to actually have smooth skin. But sometimes it hurts, and that kind of coarseness is not good for the face overall. This product has been a serious game changer. After a couple of uses, I had significant improvement in smoothness WITHOUT the coarse, hard, abrasive scratching of the face. The dryness and flakiness my face once experienced are long gone. It has been a few months since I started using Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant a couple of times a week, and my skin is looking brighter and healthier. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to switch from rough face scrubs to a product that has equal or better results without the harshness. This product has far exceeded my expectations and hopes. This Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant feels very gentle on the skin while still giving a noticeable clean and smooth finish. I like the powder formula because it mixes easily with water and turns into a soft, creamy texture. After using it, my skin feels softer, more polished, and refreshed without feeling harsh or overly dry. It’s easy to include in a regular skincare routine and a little product goes a long way.

Let me start by saying the product is incredible. It left my skin so soft, and exfoliated little "eyeglass bumps" where my glasses rested on my cheek. I feel 20 again! As for the packaging...Dermalogica seriously needs to rethink it. When the package arrived, bits of microfoliant were all over the inside of the cap when I removed it. Why design the packaging this way when it's bound to be shaken in transit? I feel like I lost at least 2 days worth of product just opening it up, and at this price point, I hate to lose even 1 day. The pourer should have a screw cap or seal of some sort to ensure that the product stays inside the container during shipping.

I think I've been using this product at least since 2013 AT LEAST and I wouldn't trade this daily exfoliant for anything in the world you hear me ! If this size bottle goes up to $50 a bottle I'd still buy it ! Ive tried a few different powder/just add water exfoliators and all I have to say is DERMALOGICA ME, PLEASE !! I've even used the daily super foliant and would still choose that over any other exfoliant !! I stopped using this brand for a while (3months) to try an alternative and never have I ever been so happy to return to something I temporarily parted ways with, this is the only non toxic break up to makeup I've ever heard of !! I struggle with textured skin and easily clogged pores so I'm not "fortunate" enough to be able to use a lot of different products or prodycts filled with loads of chemicals and bs and THIS ,This is GREAT for texture atleast for mine, and the pores on my nose and on my cheeks areas are literally emptied after every use ESPECIALLY in the pm !! As soon as I started using it when it arrived I noticed texture differences in two days, I saw the hyperpigmentation on my cheeks begin to lighten and my skin was so soft and smooth like I've missed this so much and I'm officially done with trying different exfoliators this is the one, idk why I ever stayed but I'm definitely back now and here to stay !! Please use a small amt you don't need a lot , there's no rice-y starch-y stale food smell even though it's rice based ! But it's also not full of fragrance to cover up any natural rice powders. It's great for daily and nightly use, it's not harsh and does not at all irritate your skin or over strip it. Idk what else to say besides why are you still reading and not buying ?! *This review is not paid I really just love this product (and the super foliant) and I'm a retired esthetician so trust me I wouldn't steer you wrong*

This product is amazing and will have you coming back again and again! It helped me to manage surface acne/hyperpigmentation years before i was able to get into a derm consistently to really resolve it. It very gently exfoliants the skin with chemical exfoliants but also insanely refined physical exfoliant that won’t damage skin if used properly. I still use it now but more for polishing my skin and as part of my dermaplane routine. It can be used all over the body to and will leave your skin soft, supple, smooth, and more youthful and radiant after just one use. After consistent use your skin will grow all the time. It’s pricey but definitely worth it. For reference I have a light/medium brown skin tone, naturally oily skin (combo when managed), and have had issues with hormonal acne and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I have allergies and sensitive skin and can’t use many products due to fragrance and irritation.

Gentle but effective. Haven’t had any sensitivity issues in or out of the sun. Even the little bottle will last a while because it only takes a little bit on barely wet hands to work. I use a wet face and damp palms and that seems to be enough water.

Been looking for a facial scrub since the product I have been using had a new formulation that did not work for me anymore. This microfoliant is by far the best one I have tried. I have combination skin with issues with clogged pores and acne around my chin and jaw. I bought the travel size bottle first to try three months ago. I was also surprised to see how small it is but it lasts a long time and I've been using it everyday. A little goes a long way and the bottle is not empty yet. I experienced a bit of purging at first. It does have salicylic acid so I was patient. It took two months but now my skin is a lot clearer and the pores are not clogged anymore. The product is not drying nor irritating. I make sure to turn my back on the shower to keep water from getting into the bottle while I pour a bit of powder (less than a teaspoon) on my palm. A drop or two of water is enough to make a paste. I like the smell and there is no lingering smell. Other than this exfoliant, I also use a toner, benzoyl peroxide, and moisturizer from different brands after cleansing. I think the exfoliant combines well with the other products. Definitely recommended and you have to be patient to wait for results plus check other products that you are using to see if the combination works for you. I have also been eating more healthy foods, sleeping well, and exercising so I don't depend on one product to make a miracle but this exfoliant is worth it despite the high price. I hope the formulation won't change and will never be discontinued.

I love this product. I feel it really takes away the dirt and the dead skin and its so gentle. I use it every other day , alternating with a foam wash. Dermalogica is one of the best skincare brands (in my opinion) and this powder wash is one of its star products. I mix it with 2-3 drops of water or use it on wet skin. I massage clean the skin until it becomes smooth and wash it off with loads of water. It leaves the skin clean and ready to be moisturized.

El envío súper rápido, me llegó súper rápido. Estoy fascinada con el producto, al ser en polvo se puede controlar mejor la porción a utilizar, con unas gotas de agua de inmediato hace espuma y se limpia con facilidad la cara. Tengo una semana utilizándolo y me deja la piel limpia y suave, se ha vuelto uno de mis productos favoritos 😁
