Alpha Grapefruit Toner for Combination, Dry & Sensitive Skin, Alcohol-Free Face Toner with Grapefruit Extract & Aloe Vera, Gently Exfoliates & Visibly Brightens

Alcohol-free toners are a mixed bag for me. Some of them are ineffective for my oily summer skin. But so far, this one has been great (which is good because I have an absolutely huge container of it that will likely last months, even used twice a day). It is moisturizing and non-drying but it has some fruit extracts, including fruit acids. These, I think, are critical. (See the full ingredients list by zooming in on the product image of the back of the container.) They have some mildly astringent properties that actually tone/tighten the skin based on my experience, but they also do a bit of gentle exfoliation. If you have sensitive skin and can't take strongly acidic toners, this may be an option for you. (I am a big fan of exfoliators, especially gentle ones like this because I sometimes go overboard with the scrubs and have to dial things back a bit. But it is hard to go overboard with this type of product as long as you apply it with a gentle or non-scractchy cotton pad.) This really is the orange color from the photo, which is sort of unusual for a toner, especially one without artificial dyes. So I think there are tons of fruit-based antioxidants in this, which is awesome for a little extra measure of protection from free radical damage (e.g., from sun exposure). Of course you should also use a sunscreen when using this product. I find this to have a mild but pleasant scent that does not stick around for long after application. It does not irritate my eyes at all (of course I don't get toner *in* my eyes, but sometimes if other toners get a bit close, they can sting -- this one does not). I use this morning and night after cleansing. I follow with an essence (this is a step in Korean skincare that I have adopted), a couple of serums and/or face treatments, and a moisturizer. In the morning I also use a sunscreen, a primer, and foundation. This product does not interfere with the application of any subsequent products, as long as I allow it to dry adequately before continuing. (It really does not take long to dry. Also, a little goes a long way -- you don't have to use much.)

I found this toner in 2016 and used it for years before switching to a witch hazel toner to help with pores. Lately my skin has been looking dull and tired and I remembered how brightening this toner was and repurchased. I'm so happy I did! It provides very light and gentle exfoliation. It's just enough to help my dry skin stay smooth. It helps get rid of those little stubborn bumps. It also smells good and gets any grime left after cleansing! I use it at night after cleansing and in the morning as the first step in my routine. It makes my skin really glowy and pretty! Also weird note but I have always really liked the dispenser lol

Oh my goodness! I bought this on a whim, and couldn't be happier. I have combination skin, slightly dry in the winter but still get slightly shiny throughout the day, and EXTREMELY acne-prone. I wanted a toner that would help with pore size, dryness and dark marks, but wouldn't aggravate my acne. This toner was perfect! Super gentle, I can even swipe this over my eyes without stinging. It mildly exfoliates my skin to make it much softer, helps slough off the dead skin off my cheeks and nose, and DEFINITELY helps with dark marks over time. It even helps with my mild acne! Excellent product and even better price point. :)

I have used Mario B. for many years. Since I left Manhattan and unable to go to the spa to purchase my skincare, I was very happy to find them on Amazon. Thank you. It is a great toner but not for everyday use since it is pretty strong. But along with my cleanser, it has definately made my face more brighter and I can't beat the clean feeling I receive.

I didn't usually use toner but this is the best product I've bought for my face in ages. I use it after cleansing my face with a face wash. It offers an extra bit of cleansing. Some on a cotton ball and use downward/outward strokes on the face. Sometimes leaves a cool tingly feeling. The smell is good. It lasts awhile too. I got it in October and now in December I've still got more than half of the bottle left. My face feels cleaner/clearer/fresher with this product! If you're feeling lazy and don't want to wash your face, sometimes I just rub this on my face as a quick cleansing.

I hate that Ulta stopped selling this. I'm so thankful amazon has it. This is a staple in my skincare routine. In the mornings, I use this and especially after I take my makeup off at night. Gets whatever makeup I missed. Makes me feel so clean and fresh. Does not dry me out at all. Absolutely love this stuff!!

La fragancia es mínima y eso me gusta. No loconsidero una excelente inversión, porque no ofrece los resultados que yo esperaba en cuanto a aclarar las manchas de la cara. Resecó mi piel y preferiría que fuera más hidratante. Debe usarse acompañado de una buena crema humectante siempre que se usa, en mi caso uso también la crema de noche de Mario Badescu.
