Did the Job
I bought this as a replacement for my laptop because the cpu fan had stopped working. I found a very comprehensive walkthrough online which made the installation not an issue as long as you've had some hands on experience working on computers or cars or anything of that nature. I don't know what else to say other than it worked and it is still going about 3 months later now.

Fan did not last long.
Worked for a couple of weeks before it starting sounding like a jackhammer. Definitely rolled the dice with this fan and lost.

Nice quiet fan again
Arrived in 2 weeks. Opted to DIY, instead of sending my laptop for warranty work. It was not hard to replace the fan, and got to see what MSI had put in the case. I did not completely disassemble the Graphics Processor and CPU from the fan units. You can remove the CPU fan without breaking the thermal compound seal.

Works for a Month
I don't know if its the laptop or the fan, but I have the same rattling noise with this CPU fan that precluded the death of the old one after only a month of use. I would not recommend buying this or any MSI laptops with how difficult to replace it is by yourself. For anyone curious about the fan speeds, which I could not find here, mine tops out at 4800 rpm but occasionally the sensors mark it as a bit higher.

Expensive but works
This computer is really bad with fans and they are such a pain in the behind to replace. I gave this low stars because of the outrageous shipping that cost more than the fan, or you have to wait like 6 weeks to get it.
